As I mentioned before December, I will be altering the tiers ever so slightly. This is largely due to processing fees as well as patreon’s own cut from pledges to sustain themselves. There won’t be much change; however, because of these fees I do not earn the full $1 per month based on the pledge amount advertised. So I have decided to update the Tip Jar tier to $2 from $1 so that I ultimately make that $1 at the end of the day. I understand that some of you may opt out and cancel following me because of this, but I feel like this is a decision that is needing to be made as I think about trying to sustain myself with art long term. I will keep the regular $1 tier up for now as I message the current pledgers directly, reminding them of the change. All that so that this is not a completely abrupt change and so that there is an adjustment period should they wish to continue supporting me. But please be aware that the $1 tier, as it currently stands, will be deleted at the beginning of February so that it can be fully updated to the $2

This isn’t the only change either. I plan to start up a brand new tier at $10. This will be the Comic Tier. This tier is specifically geared towards sneak peaks and potential input suggestions for any comics and or illustration packs I should create for the purposes of selling. Patrons of the $10 tier will also receive free downloads to finished products once they are released as $10 will be the projected sale prices. Another benefit for the $10 tier will be additional votes for the monthly fan polls.

Some other plans I hope to change / account for for the coming year is that I want to put more time into making more full illustrations. Lately I’ve been noticing that my more finished things are mostly fan poll winners and commission pics. This isn’t a completely bad thing, but personally feels a little demoralizing >->;;; Will possibly pull ideas from the suggestion thread and re-tailor them for full pictures too, but we’ll see. I’d like to try and not deviate from the requested suggestions too much. Another plan is to set aside time to work on a comic project I’ve been asked to do the art for. More information will come about that project when it becomes more relevant. Lastly, which is more of a hope, I’ve also been toying the idea of doing monthly commissions as well. I would like to try and make this the year that I finally leave my day job to do art full time. Eventually I’ll find that sweet spot of pricing commissions!

But anyways, I’ve taken up enough of your time. As always, thank you for understanding and your continued support! It really means a lot to me and I hope to make 2019 a hell of a lot better than 2018!
