no but saaaaame i love me some hiphop unit vocals <3 and yeah the dk part in aaa was so powerful caratland was in shambles (in a good way) 😵❤️‍🔥 glad you enjoyed the performances ✨btw they have a dance practice for don quixote where you can see the choreo better, and i highly recommend checking out the MTV live stage for cheers, it's very cool <3 (doesn't have to be a reaction, watch it in your own time if you want) yes the sound engineering for gda was... unfortunate 😞 the mixing for the stream/video recording is very different from the one for the live audience. in the fancams, you can hear the live vocals sooo much louder and the backing track is almost inaudible, but in the official video recording, the backing track overpowers. idk why the sound engineers did that but it is what it is :/ it's also a great reminder that what we hear in the video can be very different from what it sounds like to the actual live audience. an artist could sing 100% live but the editors could replace the audio with the studio track, or turn the mic down, and people watching the video would think they weren't singing at all. so yeah, much to think about. watching aaa and gda back to back with you also made me realize again how tired they looked for aaa :( they had such a crazy schedule back then, on a plane from continent to continent basically every other day, so their energy wasn't 100% but they still delivered. so glad they've been having some time to rest these days <3 and yes, jun and minghao weren't at aaa. the official statement is it was bc of personal schedules, but we suspect it's bc aaa was on the same day as a national mourning day related to ww2 in china, and since aaa was held in japan, pledis let them sit this one out to prevent them from getting criticized. the members covered some of junhao's parts, in other parts they let the backing track play. the part with seungkwan you pointed out is actually jun's, and seungkwan only sang the second half of the line. tbh i'm not sure if he forgot that he needs to cover it or if he did it on purpose (to let jun's voice be heard), but i think that also might be why his voice sounds muffled - bc it mixes with jun in the backing track.

Yeah, they did a great job at AAA, even though they were so exhausted from all their travel AND they were the last to perform, so they had to sit through the whole ceremony. Props to S.Coups who loses his in-ear in the middle of March and performs the 2nd half of the song as well as HOT without it. There is a fancam for him that shows him struggling with it and eventually having to pull the whole in-ear/mic pack thing off and hand it to staff while doing the choreo at the same time! For GDA, I love the Don Quixote performance and the dance practice for it they released. GDA was also great because Treasure finally got to meet Seventeen, and they are such Seventeen fanboys, it was so cute, lol

As always, you're gorgeous, and I'm also eating toast!! I gotta say, the hip hop unit REALLY stands out in this era. Vocals and raps are just crazy good. Mingyu's vocals also make up one of my favorite vocal parts in Shadow, and he and S.Coups back to back really is awesome. There's other standouts (Hoshi, DK, etc), but this was definitely the hip hop unit's era, imo. Looking forward to your next posts 💜

yeah, for that Seungkwan part you can't hear is because that's originally Jun's part, so Seungkwan just didn't sing that line, Jun and The8 were missing on the AAA show. love you
