It's wild to watch them get so nervous performing at a mall in front of a handful of people after watching the livestream this weekend of them performing at Tokyo Dome to a sold-out crowd of 55,000. The growth is amazing. Woozi talks about it a little bit in their 'Hit the Road' documentary -- being more nervous performing in front of 30 people than 30,000, but it's really interesting to see it. And the difference between the pre-debut 'dark' concept and their actual debut 'freshteen' concept is also funny. There's a special performance MV of Shining Diamond on the Seventeen youtube channel.

Yes you’re pronouncing Minghao’s name right <3 and yes I assure you it will get easier to watch. It was tough for them but I think it was a valuable experience and they learned a lot from it, especially where they lack and need to improve. What helps me not get hurt/upset on their behalf is keeping in mind that ultimately, the staff and judges are really rooting for them and want them to succeed. And yes lol it was such a surprise when svt debuted with a fresh, cute concept after the promo as a ‘dark’ group. Even fans weren’t expecting the actual debut song to be so bright. I think I’ve mentioned it before, but every single boygroup back then was doing dark concepts (people were kinda getting tired of the same old tbh), so svt really brought something new to the table when they released adore u and made youthful and fun songs their signature concept.

Shayla in the beginning: knowing things will get better... "I hope I will not be pissed" Shayla towards the end: " You know what will make them less nervous? LET THEM KNOW WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING...!!!" 😂😂 ((sorry for the long comment ahead)) Another thing you'll have to know is that SVT in 17Project was kind of different from most of survival shows not only because it's non-elimination debut project but also SVT has been on various stages before the show. As they said, they even have a little fandom built in 3yrs of activities. So they were already seen performing in full confidence and energy. For you as a new Carat, this episode introduced you to two of the most special people in SVT's career: - BUMZU who was their vocal trainer and now is WOOZI's partner in making SVT's masterpieces. He's also an artist btw. - Yoon Hyelim who is their Creative Director manages/oversees their stages and concerts. She's amazing! (BUMZU actually posted in ig last Sunday a photo of SVT with Hyelim ssaem and him during the Be The Sun in Tokyo Dome. His captions just warmed our hearts.) I really felt this episode a lot esp Hoshi is my ult and I'm very fond of the Leader line. Plus I love Hyelim ssaem so hearing her give those words to Hoshi broke me :(

Suuuuper late, here, but really enjoyed watching this episode with you. Love the setup, love your makeup, and loved the reaction. 100% agree with your commentary on the survival show aspect of things. I think it's really interesting to see (even in just the two first episodes) how their experiences on this show helped shape them as a group. The snowball effect in full swing, it seems. And now to catch up on the rest of your videos I've missed, lol Happy holidays and merry Christmas!
