One of the exciting things that will be coming to DAZ studios soon is dForce, a plugin that will help with dynamic clothing. I'm a long time user of DAZ studios and one of the main issues with these renders is that the solid bodies (such as humans and architecture) have evolved to such an extent that they are considered to be decently realistic. Shaders, lighting and rendering engine have all been updated to such an extent that if it was just a naked body in a scene, sometimes it gets very difficult to differentiate between what is virtual versus what is real.

However, clothing & hair have not evolved much. In fact, clothing that fit on human objects are still using ancient technology that "wrap" around parent objects. This creates an interesting scenario where the clothing & hair break the realism of many scenes. DAZ has previously tried to solve this with dynamic clothing, but it didn't really take off as well as it should have (check the amount of non-dynamic clothing versus dynamic for sale). This is why dForce is fairly exacting; because having the mesh contort and drape will finally provide that realism that has been lacking for years.

Also yes, that is why most of my renders don't have any "flowing" clothing, because the technology hasn't been there yet. Here's an example of dForce at work. dForce is out in beta right now, but once it is part of a fully release (4.10), I'll be sure to test it out.
