Xeno Raptor

Alright, I've played it through twice, and I have some thoughts. My first thought is that it's good. I played an earlier version, and this is a major improvement, to be sure. I really enjoyed the new ending scenes, especially the one where he's splayed out across a table and getting pounded in both ends. The idea to add other alphas and make them have similar abilities is really neat, and I like how hard they are to fight. My personal strategy it to lure them in by letting them tackle me then pushing them off and attacking. I also very much enjoy the character creator, and seeing my rainbow raptor running through the facility was great! However, there are some issues. There's a problem with the first level, where if you fall down into the spike area before getting the red key kard at the far end of the temporary bridge with the robot at the end, then you're screwed; you can't get out, because you need the keycard to open the door to get out. You have to commit spike hara-kiri to kill yourself and go back to the start so you can get the red keycard. There's a problem with the final level, too, when you get trapped in a room with a Goliath. If it picks you up near the door, it can glitch you through the door and leave you stuck outside the room. I recovered by using the super blast ability to kill it through the door to get the room to open again, but you should fix that glitch pronto. Furthermore, when one reaches the very end of the game, and the camera voice gives you the option of laying down and surrendering or pushing on... that's not really an option. I tried "giving up" there, and got a standard game over. I can imagine how irritating that would be if someone got all the way to that point and then tried giving up, only to get a normal game over. I would recommend either removing that, adding a special scene, or adding some dialogue to the ending scene about how the camera guy lied to you (although that would also feel like cheating out of the promised special scene, so I wouldn't recommend that). Since there are now so many enemies and specialized ending scenes, I would recommend making the ending scene you get after being defeated be specific to the enemy that killed you. A gallery of game-over scenes wouldn't hurt, either. That's all for now, I'm really liking this game and can't wait to see more!
