The father will be explained later on, he's apart of the story. With this being so close to book and manhwa, we should be probably be having him brought in, in the next 5ish episodes (give or take any creative liberties of fillers for context the writers have done). But as his father doesn't have a huge roll as he was mainly a background character for 98% of the story, so idk much of what he does, so it will be interesting to see how he's introduced in this and how they keep him interwoven into the whole story as he's barely brought in or mentioned in 7 of the 8 books.
