There's no need for Rimuru to absorb Souei or anyone else that he's named because Rimuru already has access to all their Skills through their connection with him, and besides Souei and the rest of the gang got their best Skills from Rimuru in the first place. It's not quite so straightforward though. Rimuru's Skills are not so much explicitly given, as they serve as a foundation for, or influence on, his people's own existing Skills and capabilities. From there, Rimuru's crew can create Skills that are, in fact, better than Rimuru's version of them. In many ways, Rimuru really specializes and outperforms everyone else the most when the Skills in question are ones that stem from his original, slime-specific Skills, such as Predation and self-regeneration. As for any new Skills Rimuru may receive from his followers, Great Sage helps to organize them, keeping and reorganizing only those Great Sage finds useful. We have already seen Souei use the same threads that Rimuru has used, but Souei has made this Skill his own.
