A New Project Appears! (Patreon)

Hello there, ponies (or whatever you may be)!

Silk Wright here; it's been a while since I wrote one of these myself!

As hinted at by Dong in our Christmas post, I'm here to announce that we are working on a second project! First and foremost, I want to assure you that this will not slow down any progress on Homestead- In fact, the long development time of Homestead inspired this second project, as it capitalizes more on our programming and writing prowess without requiring a gratuitous amount of art. Well, with that out of the way, I am proud to announce our new project:

Hereafter

A Pixel-Art T/S-RPG Crafting Adventure Game taking place in the world of Cancordis, Hereafter focuses on the journey of our protagonist, Derulio De'Heart, as he travels the world, making friends and exploring the boundaries of the new magic known as Thaumaturgy.

The player will discover and explore new areas, gather ingredients, fight monsters, craft gear, solve problems, sell crafts, equip their parties and go back out to increasingly exotic and dangerous lands. You'll meet all kinds of characters along the way, from simple Unicorns to the feisty Felidae; they'll present you with issues you can solve in many different ways through the in-game Investigation System.

Development is off to a good start, thanks to the artist we are bringing on for the project. (See? I told you it wouldn't be pulling resources from Homestead)

Cold-Blooded Twilight!

Twi is taking the art lead position in the studio and recently joined our core staff, a more than welcome addition here at Heartsong Games, having already made great strides in the game, which we're eager to show you going into the future.

I will be writing the script and leading this project, while ErrorStream will develop the code required for the game with his usual diligence.

V.D.Y. will be handling community questions and announcements related to the Hereafter project.
