March Progress Report! (Patreon)
Content
Hopefully most of you noticed yesterday's April Fool's day joke. We did lose a few of you because of it, but that's okay! Here's the progress report that was going to go up if it had no been for the holidays!
First off I just want to repeat that the last post was an April Fool's joke and the pink horsie isn't going anywhere. If anything there's going to be a lot more of her coming up!
Now on to game stuff. For programming we spent most of February and March working to port things over to Unity. We still want to do that, but we decided it'd be best to put out the next update with Ren'py while we get that sorted out instead of making you guys wait even longer.
Because of that the update has gotten a bit larger than I had planned, but that just means it's going to be all the more awesome! Hopefully after this next update we should be able to put more of them out faster since all of the systems are going to be put in place in this one.
Script stuff!
Since our ideas grew a little bit it means we're writing some more stuff out too! As of right now the script for the new update is 75% complete with everything else already lined out, we just need to set down and cross our I's and dot our T's and it should be good to go. Luckily the script is the easiest part...
Art! Here's a few backgrounds!
You may recognize these scenes from the last update! This time they've been remade to fit in more with the movie-esque style I've been going for with the art direction on the game. I'm not showing any of the newer backgrounds off since I'm still working on them, but also because I don't really want to give anything else away.
Rigs ahoy! Good news is the complete turn around for lady horsies is done now, and that means you'll be getting to see all of your favorites soon! And hopefully do more than just eyeball them too.
It sucks that it's taken a lot longer than I had planned, but every member of the team also has to split their time working on other things and trying to finish this up in their spare time. But as I said, hopefully after we're over this hump it'll be a lot easier!
