Hey guys!

Wanted to share some behind the scenes for you guys.  A lot of people on youtube think these builds are just the 20 min episodes I put out BUT in reality these builds are actually a full time job for me.

We spent half the day running away to different places trying to figure out the best plan of attack to get this paint stripped off.  We also realized the tank is actually STEEL not aluminum which kind of blew my mind.

Anyway, today I'm going to run down to another spot to drop the tank off and they should be able to strip it properly for us.  If all goes well, early next week we will be picking up both the tank and the rear shock.

From there we will add the oldschool ducati lettering on the tank, add the clear coat and continue with reassembly!

Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more!

This may be too late, but we use to take steel tanks to a radiator shop and have them dip them in their "cleaning tank". It would not only clean Everything off the outside of it, but would also leave a beautiful finish in the inside. Wash it with water, alcohol and then coat the inside with sealant and prime/paint the outside... Just a thought.
