Shocking Results from the Dyno Session (Patreon)

Hey guys!

So overall the bike made great power.  In 4th gear it made 179 hp and 76ft lbs of torque.  In 5th gear it made 183 hp and 80ft lbs of torque.  

We were happy with the total hp numbers but what was a bit shocking to me was the massive flat spot in 4th and 5th gear.  If you listen on the actual footage you can hear that the bike is very limited in power until about 7k rpms and then the full power comes on.

We saw similar issues with our 2020 S1000RR in stock trim and I have a feeling it would happen in every gear on this bike as well.  Id guess it has to do with the regulations on emissions and sounds for new models and Id imagine we will be seeing this type of stuff a lot more moving forward.

That will make fitting an aftermarket exhaust and getting a proper tune/up map very important for maximum enjoyment and power out of the bike.

I'll be very curious to see what happens after we fit the akra system with the upmap and sprint filter...I think it will clean up all of that power limitation in the low RPM which will make the bike even more fun to ride.
