Tae sharing about his grandmother is a really important part of our fandom history. Even when it makes us cry. This is how close the members feel to army and as you can tell from the crying, this is how empathic armys are to things that the members go through. That it happened on the 49th day of mourning is significant to Tae too. During this ch. 2, I have found myself worrying about the fandom now more than I do the members. Things are so different now within the fandom, and I can only hope that we can refocus on BTS when they come back in 2025.

Yes, it's so much hate especially the SOLO STANS. Nothing's wrong with supporting your bias, ( I'm Jimin Bias) not SOLO BIAS! I might purchase more of Chimmy then I do the others, but I definitely have my JIN pj's, I have a BUNNY & TAE PILLOW I support all 7 hopefully it will get better or back 2 normal cause rt now it's tiring.

Taehyung sharing about his grandmother is a really important moment in Bangtan/Army history, imo. Before he revealed this the members had a fan meet and he broke down in the middle of it and none of Army knew why, so there was a lot of speculation going around online. He had been really withdrawn in a lot of their activities during this time, too. We could tell that something was wrong and this was him sharing with Army. I think for a lot of Army this was the moment when we realized how hard it is for the members and the sacrifices they make to be with us even during difficult times in their personal life. This moment was something I thought about when we found out they had considered disbanding because we know how much time the members “lost” with family because of their insane work schedules, so it’s reasonable to think this was all part of their considerations at contract renewal. I’m glad you guys got to see this, especially with “that” moment in BV3 coming up. And when you get to Tae’s Suchwita interview, it’s nice to know some of the unspoken context for what he had been going through personally. It puts some perspective on the pressures he was under around this time with the loss of his grandmother and the stress of the TV series and then BTS schedule getting even more insane as they exploded in the West.

His grandmother really did raise him. V's parents were migrant farmers and would go to the fields to work Monday through Friday. So V lived with his grandmother during the week . And lived with his parents only on the weekend. So he was very very close to his grandmother. Really like another mother. She tried and tried to fatten him up. But V remained ultra skinny. That's why when V announces he has gained weight he is so happy and proud because he Knows he has made his grandmother so happy and proud. You will hear V day say it again through the years..."I gained weight." Knowing he is thinking of his grandmother. Yes. A boohoo moment. For us all!

i think one thing to note about the importance of the 49th day of mourning. it’s actually the last day that the spirit can linger on the human world. it’s a buddhist belief and the bereaved would say their final farewells right before the 49th day. that’s probably why the reaction of the crowd was so sad when they heard that the day of the broadcast win was on the 49th day. because grandma’s spirit was leaving already and tae said the timing didn’t work out.

I feel like the fandom has always had bandwagons so you can’t look at their behavior and see it as ARMYs changing. Same with solo stans and toxic shippers, they always existed beside ARMY, but they are not part of ARMY (even if they pretend to be). Most of us have been ARMY for years and nothing has changed for us. We are just waiting for 2025
