Good Morning CCW VIP Primos!

It's finally the weekend and time for another episode of RUN BTS!

This week they’re going bowling! It was fun trying to guess everyone’s bowling style. Many of them were ummm, unique 😂.

Team vs team and everyone vs Jungkook. Because Jungkook of course knew how to bowl and everyone else, well they knew how to have a good time. 🤣

BTS was the first group ever create & execute a game show in their own production company.. it was a roaring success & everyone followed through.. They were pioneers in a lot of ways in the K-pop industry.

To answer the question you asked at the end back when run bts first started bts was the only group with a show like that but now its pretty normal for a Kpop groups to have their own variety shows.

They did something similar called "Rookie Kings" when they first started. I too think their variety shows gave them a chance to bond and do activities they wouldn't have had an opportunity to do - at least together. I don't follow other groups but I read somewhere that BTS/BIghit started having the group do their own variety show. BTS is known to have pioneered a lot of group activities for content.

There are a lot of variety shows like this with hosts and they invite groups on the show. Because BTS didn't get invited or was treated badly by hosts, they started their own show.

RUN BTS was the best decision ever!! You get to see the guys in fun settings naturally. And they are hilarious together!! 💜

so non-music-related activities or shows have always been part of the kpop idol industry. kpop idols have always been engaged with variety shows, fashion-related shows, reality shows because these can help a lot to promote their music and showcase their personalities in order to build a fandom. but back then, the main platform was television so all those shows are influenced by big companies. those from big 3 are all over tv and they get so much promo opportunities while groups like bts who are from smaller lesser-known companies have very minimal chances to get invited and appear on tv shows. when they do, it’s not always a good experience for them because a lot of hosts or celebs will always look down on them and make fun of them. but the boys have always been so nice because even though some of the activities and games or interviews that they would do on those shows are just plainly weird and absurd, they always just laugh it off, get along with the flow and just endure it. so coming up with run bts and other internal-produced content is the best idea ever! because they get to fully expose their personalities, express their own ideas, promote themselves and have fun with just them seven. and all in time just when social media platforms are booming like youtube and vlive which gave access to almost anyone and anywhere to put out content for public viewing. i think it is safe to say that bts has changed the game with their variety shows and self-made contents because they are the first who have maximized this platform and have been successful in doing it and now all other kpop groups that came after them have these kind of content!!

To be exact over groups had similar shows but just some episodes made by an official TV channel like a presentation of new groups : this month groupe A, next groupe B BTS were the first to made their own shows (Run BTS! Was not their first one : Rookie King channel BTS) and accessible for free by international public For example : BTOB’s the beat (1st season in 2014) pretty similar to BTS GAYO

Suga. Remember he had a bad shoulder. No way could he throw the bowling ball with his injured shoulder. Impossible And I don't know if these are in sequence with Rise. I don't think he told them about his accident and injured shoulder yet. This is early. He was still hiding it from everyone. That's my guess. And JK is the bowler of the group. He still plays and loves it.

you have to understand that not everyone can pump out content in the way some reaction channels do. These are four separate adults, each with different careers, children, schedules, so many commitments to try and organise around. discovering bts is meant to be a fun process that happens over time, not a stressful binge. if they feel overwhelmed by the amount of content people want right now, they may feel discouraged and decide not to continue. they already put so much out for us, just be grateful for what we're getting :)

Yes, several other kpop groups have their own version of Run BTS..... For example, the group Seventeen has a show called "Going Seventeen"!

The reason Jungkook is so good at bowling is because he has had coaching lessons to improve his game long before this run episode, because he loves the game. The reason is because his father once trained to be a professional bowler before the sport was excluded from the Olympics and in his height he could score a perfect score of 300. So he has grown up with the sport. Just a piece of useless information for you, loved this one as they all know how to put fun into even a simple game of bowling. Looking forward to the next two. Actually he had only done it for fun and never spent time really doing it growing himself bc he did other things. He merely had been learning for a month or two at this point bc he was supposed to compete for the bowling competition during isac just like they did for relay races, suga doing basketball and then doing the wrestling, archery and that stuff so he himself had barely even started actually learning. He def never had coaching or lessons long before this episode… he had just started before they did this episode which is why rm asked if they were there for jungkook ✌️

Jungkook Vs BTS tends to happen bc jungkook is naturally a talented athlete and some of the others are as well… but then the ones that are not usually are hilarious about it. I always feel bad for JK bc clearly he doesn’t want to be pinned against his hyungs… and would much rather play with them… but this happens other times in other stuff lol also poor jk with them relentlessly just teasing and picking on him…. Just constantly making fun of him.. especially yoongi , Jin and joon lol and still jungkook jumps up and cheers for each of his hyungs… even if they’re continuously putting him down here or making fun of him bc he just wants to play. Golden inside and out…. His heart is so pure and big…. Such a special person. His hyungs all love their baby brother… but I’m sure losing to their baby brother all the time doesn’t help the ego 😂 probably why even though they’re all just as, if not more, competitive as he is…. They exaggerate about him and “you have to let jungkook win” for them to accept losing to their baby brother so often lol it’s cute tho how even after picking at him like that… teasing him goes too far and then they circle back to praising him to make up for it 😂 the endless cycle of them with the little prodigy jungkook … he loves his hyungs

They talk about this in the “why BTS paved the way” video by boracity… really quite interesting to find all that out. I couldn’t believe how many 2nd and 3rd gen K-pop groups… the big 3s K-pop groups that opened their twitters the month after BTS won that award for social artist at the bbmas. Bighit found a way around the big 3 corruption and control and the big 3 hopped right onto that BTS pathway so quickly … wild!

This Run BTS was held in 2017 but in a mukbang live held in Tokyo in 2016 he already stated that bowling was a serious hobby of his and would even like to become a Pro bowler! He with a friend a member of Seventeen were scoring scores of 150 even then! He has stated he has had coaching and judging by his style in this show it definitely looks like he has and if he considered it a serious sport since the previous year, knowing Jungkook I would say he had. He had always bowled and said he started bowling because he thought his dad was cool ( a different article) and still bowls today and often goes with V. BTS also went bowling in a Rookie King episode! There is an article in the KPop Herald 2016 that tells you all about it. 💜

I broke my left shoulder. It affected my whole body. The doctor said for it to heal properly ...no lifting of any kind ...right or left side. Suga's bones weren't broken, but still it would have hurt to lift that bowling on the right side, too. He chose go equal out the lift using both hands/arms. He was always at risk to further damaging his shoulder. And by continuing to perform and physical activities like bowling despite the fact he got steroid shots often...his shoulder finally stopped working at all! He finally had to tell. And Big Hit told Suga he should have told them. Anyway it hurt to lift that bowling ball no matter how he lifted it. He always hid his pain. When he finally told the other members they had no idea he injured his shoulder.
