bts always had creative freedom but they still had some rules you have to keep in mind majority of these idols start as kids so they do need some rules. having a curfew and getting permission to go places shouldn't seem weird when most kids those ages have those when home with parents. these parents are trusting these labels to take care of their kids. not having any rules is very unrealistic. however bts did not have rules for plastic surgery, skin lightening or dating. they did have diets and couldn't eat junk food a lot but this gets better as the years go on. now in 2023 bts can do whatever they want and it's been this way since at least 2018. bts success has made things change in the industry for the better. also every label still works differently that guy who said they all work the same is lying because there's many labels who never have those same rules and there's some labels who have even more rules than what was mentioned. you can't use one label to asses all the other labels there's no kpop standard each label works differently especially in 2023. you should 100% react to Rm's interview with a Spanish media outlet called El Pais rm discusses many topics.

Please continue to be funny and chaotic since this is why primos love you guys. The criticism of kpop idols in this episode is not about BTS but about the industry in general back in the day. Bang PD (boss of Big Hit) is a progressive thinking leader and gave BTS lots of freedom compared to other K-music labels and that's why BTS have lasted over 10 years. P.S. "M.C." means "Mic Controller". x :D

Ok! I understand about time.. Deleted scenes are only 10-15 min though so I hope you can include them! But if you actually want to do them, I suggest you start watching them already when watching the next episodes, cause after a while they will not make a lot of sense as they are each connected to a certain episode.. :) If you can't make it, that's sad, but we will get over it haha! :D

I was like "wait... Didn't we watch this already?" 😅😅 good thing that you noticed... Most idols know girl group dances, for some reason it is frequently used as a game during variety shows or sometimes interviews (that they do other groups choreos), the girls do it too bit with male groups dance... Also in music shows they see the dances a lot and if the song is popular most idols will know the dancer, no special reason they just like it 😅 nowadays everyone know Hype Boy by New Jeans is like the most popular song to dance in Korea... In the kpop community it is very common for fans to learn the dance and do covers, if you search KPOP IN PUBLIC you'll see groups of people doing kpop dance covers with costumes close to what the idols wear on the MV and there's the random dance game where they play over 20 different kpop songs and if you know the dance you get in the center and start dancing, it is normally done in public it's a lot of fun 😊

Everyone is suggesting you guys watch jimins new music video but I wanna add that the released one was his pre release and his main track mv comes out next week so If you guys are gonna watch I’d recommend you wait till it comes out too so you can possibly watch both or something :)

Hola primos! Just an FYI, in most of the Rise episodes, Aneesa contrasts the way most of the k-pop industry worked/did things with the way Bangtan and their label did things. That is why in this episode for example you hear the narrative of all the restrictions posed on idols and how little creative freedom most idols have vs. scenes of the members writing, actively working in the studio, being their chaotic selves, showing emotions openly on camera, etc. And as Tori commented above, these boys were teenagers, some rules still had to be applied. I really hope you find the time to do the deleted scenes as well. I find them just as important as the full episodes. They usually give more context for certain situations or even show things that happened in that time period that doesn't always make it to the episode.

Hi, I understand that you don’t have enough time to watch deleted scenes too, but if you go back after chapter 21 and watch all deleted, you’ll have forgotten a lot of context… they tie in very closely with the episode and often give more background explanation for things that were glossed over in the main episode. It really is better to watch deleted as you go along with the chapter - maybe you can add another week into your schedule or sth if you can’t watch them at the same time as bonus? Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ For your comments about BTS’s suffocating rules in episode 4: they had a lot of creative freedom to write about their inner stories. They did still have rules on non-music related things (no drugs, following a diet, no skiving off dance practice…) but a lot less than other companies. BTS never had forced plastic surgery/skin lightening, they never had bans on dating or phone bans or financial debt to their company from trainee years, etc.

The guys are very talented and quick learners. They don’t really have to watch the girl groups choreo much before they have learned it. Plus, the girl groups have much simpler choreo than the guys. JK is an especially fast learner and knows all the choreo for all the other guys solos. They are each the others biggest fans!! There are SO many fun behind the scenes videos you would enjoy! A lifetime of content for sure!!

That iconic drawing of bang pd by jungkook… the man is an absolute genius 😂 also jungkook , jimin and jhope doing girl group choreo is a fan favorite lol it’s common for idols to do this but there’s nothing weird or wrong about it… shows they’re talented and pick up choreo easily lol nothing wrong with that for me :)

100% and they love the chaotic side of BTS as well and leaves things on a lighter note generally… but waiting to watch all the deleted scenes together would really lose the meaning behind them almost making the episodes…. They really go together in a way to clarify less than clear editing such as this episode. No shade to aneesa bc she creates something beautiful.. just explaining little things

I actually suggest (just my opinion) that they do not watch this... yet. I think they need to watch more of BTS discography before watching it. Unless Rise of Bangtan shows part of the hardships then I am not sure. 'Cause if it does, then I would say they should go ahead and watch it... but... I still say that they need to go through more of BTS' music first before watching it. Just my opinion of course (I only became ARMY in 2020 so I am still new... more experienced/veteran ARMY would know much better than me, of course).

That was a funny introduction with the subtitles, however I’m still not liking it, the pink is good with white background but still hard to with black background, I’m a little late and can’t find the episode connected to this bonus episode.

Dear CCW, unfortunately because of financial situation I decided to stop being a Patreon. I hope to maybe subscribe again sometime in the future! But I wanted to leave one last suggestion - I just watched Rise of Bangtan till the end (yes, I hadn't watched it till the end) and I cannot stress how much you would enjoy deleted scenes! It is basically a part of episode. Often gives more context to the episode, and has many snippets of interviews, shows etc. that you will not see otherwise. If you are planning to do them 'sometime later' - that will not make any sense for you anymore, believe me. These are connected to each episode, the goal is to watch them straight after main episode. So I really beg you to find the time and watch also deleted scenes! Ok, bye for now! Loved being with you on Patreon though! Hopefully will come back :)
