Great video ! This is one of my all-time favorite shows and it's so cool to rewatch it with you guys ! Two things : 1. For the arrows, they are tattoos and are given to an airbender when they master air bending, like getting a black belt in taekwondo. It's mentioned in the show later on. 2. Also, the four nations are : the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads Take care and hope you feel better soon !! 😊💜

Uncle Iroh (Zuko's uncle) is a retired general, so he does have a lot of experience despite not looking like he does much as you said. Commander Zhao addressed him highly by even saying great hero of our nation in ep 3, so he must've accomplished a lot while he was active.

Nice reaction. It's a great pleasure to re-watch one of my ultimate fav shows with you, guys! 💜 This cartoon is quite complicated even though it has this vibe of a show for kids (e.g. like you've pinpointed they tend to not dwell for too long on the emotional parts), that's why people from across generations can enjoy it. But the world-building and story-building are done sooo well here. The show's only gonna get better from now on and you can stay reassured - even "filler" parts of the story keep up the quality and pace. :D Hope you'll get well soon though, don't be too harsh on yourself with work, kids and reactions. 😊

So regarding Aangs arrows, they are tatoos. You learn about how air benders get their tatoos in the ledend of kora, which is another series after this one.

You should definitely try to find the Wii game for this show. The one that covers all 4 books (seasons) is so much fun! It makes me want to force my 19-year-old to play with me like she used to "force" me to! So enjoying watching this again. I can't believe I don't remember half of this! I remember the game more, honestly, but it followed the story pretty closely, so maybe it will all start to come back to me. It sucks getting old!
