Good Morning VIP Primos!

Welcome back for Episode 1 of BV. Before you begin, we wanted to give you all a heads up. We are still VERY new at Weverse so for this video, we ran into a few issues 😅. You'll notice a bit of some accidental BONUS info at the beginning of this video. But we have this resolved moving forward. 

 We also wanted to leave all of this in here to show why we weren't able to get to additional bonus footage for BV (BEHIND THE CAM). It took us 2.5 hours to finally get through this first episode 😬

Short term it isn't in the plans to do the BV Bonus video, but if time permits a little later we will hopefully be able to react to them. 

ALL THAT BEING SAID, this was a FUN/CHAOTIC video. Who knew we would have this much fun seeing them travel! haha. Hope you guys enjoy our reaction!

About the laundry. JK is the one who is always assigned with all of the boys' laundry like he wash everybody's clothes most of the time specially here in bon voyage. So you will always see him with the washing machine most of the time and always the one figuring out how to operate washing machines in different places they visit in BV.

They didnt want to sleep with RM since that time RM was famous to snore very loud. They mentioned it several times in interviews etc. But nowadays, in In the Soop series they said JK became snorer. BV series itself upgraded a lot since 2nd season. The 4th one was the best, the difference in accommodations, flights etc have shown since they re already internationally known in 2019

My cheeks are hurting so much laughing along with you guys!!! So much fun rewatching BV with CCW. The boys have a whole camera crew/team of producers with them and in the later series, the crew is crazy big! BTS go to far flung holiday destinations to avoid too many army (although I've been to many of the countries they've been to) xoxo. :D

BV and ITS made me fall in love with BTS personalities. You will now learn "important business-ue" which is very popular with Armys 😆😂 Also for context, while the boys have lots of camera men and crew with them, they stayed true with their intent to let the boys do things on their own. The staffs are there to capture the show and of course in case there are emergencies, other than that, the boys do things on their own without staff help. You will soon see here in BV1 the "emergency" incident of V when the staff had to step in 😂

Fun facts lol. Qdeoks famous ARMY who streamed paid and free and unavailable BTS content for free for ARMY. For years. Streamed Golden Disk and JTBC (korean broadcast network) and they threatened to sue which is funny because they got sued by BIGHIT because they got caught breaking into Bighit and recording illegally wow) but also after that streaming got dangerous. The hashtag #ARMYGOINGTOJAILparty starting trending because during a stream a picture of jail cell bars and hands poking out of them with the caption "you should stop broadcasting" interrupted a steam. Pretty sure qdeoks was on fire for awhile there not sure what the end result was tho lol I don't think they stream anymore. A bit of ARMY history haha

This was fun💜 I’m learning Korean, the characters for their alphabet was actually the easiest part lol. It’s learning words and sentence structure that can be hard but it’s actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. Me being bilingual I think helps in learning new languages because you already know two language structures so it helps to pick up quicker for another! Can’t wait for ep 2💜💜

I noticed you asked if they call him rap monster. They call each other by their actual names and stage names. Most of the time the translations show their stage names even if they were calling each other their real names. I know it sounds a bit fast haha but if you listen closely you can hear what name they use ☺️

I think I've seen all of the seasons except for the 1st season of BV so it's fun to experience it for the first time with you guys.

In regards to them being recognized when filming/traveling - yes, it does happen, but most Army are very good at respecting their privacy and safety. There have been many times when they have run into an Army and the Army doesn’t say anything until after the content is released (if they say anything at all). The general rule is “if you see them, no you didn’t”. As an American who was used to the Western standard of paparazzi, fame, and publicity, it was a refreshing change when I became Army and saw how differently most fans view their privacy. Unfortunately, as the fandom has gotten larger and the guys have gotten more famous, the emphasis on protecting their privacy has lessened. Thanks for the reaction! It was a lot of fun! Each season of BV kind of has its own style and flavor. The production and editing value goes way up in later seasons, but this more stripped back style of season 1 definitely has its own charm.

Bon Voyage is one of my biggest motivations to learn Korean but i also want to challenge myself to learn Japanese after. At the pace I'm going, I'll be speaking 4 languages by 60, I'm 30 btw 🤣 💜 thanks for watching too, can't wait for the next episodes, more chaos to come! 🤭

SO many spoilers in here!!! 🤗 As to your question about calling RM Rap Monster, even when the guys call each other by their given names, the translators usually translate it to their stage names. If that makes sense. So, even though you might hear them say Namjoon, Hosoek , Yoongi, you will see it translated to RM, J-hope, Suga.

Did someone explained the coming of age day to you ? In Korea (until pretty recently), you take a year the 1st January not the day of your birthday (and you are already one at your birth) In Korea, citizens are permitted to marry, vote, drive, drink alcohol, and smoke at age 20 (Korean age not international) So it somewhat funny to see all these young adults waiting the new year celebration to enter clubs and bars The Monday of the third week of May is "coming-of-age day". Here they didn’t celebrate his birthday but the coming of age day since in 2016, he turned 20 in Korean age

Not sure what your setup is for recording, but if you can may I suggest using the Weverse app instead of the website if possible. It could come in handy later since some of the RUN BTS! eps on YT are not subbed or the timing is off.

Back here Namjoon was still Rap Monster, that’s why they didn’t call him RM. Also, Naver is the a Korean equivalent of Google - same principle. It is the Korean search engine - just like we all rely on Google, when in Korea you use Naver. It’s a god send believe me! You can’t get Google maps in Korea - or not well. You rely on Naver maps. I would have been lost without it during my trips there. Love the chaotic intro - perfect for this.

Great reaction!!! When it comes to cooking, Suga and Jin are the best in the group. They always take care of meals for the members. Jungkook will join them later. Golden Maknae learned a lot from his brothers, including cooking. You can see it in "In The Soop".

Getting this AND Avatar on the same day! You guys are spoiling us. I originally watched this as a toddler ARMY years ago and it’s going to fun to revisit with you guys. I relate so much to Summer in this, too- the chaos and mishaps during BV are so entertaining to watch, but if I was personally having to go through this, I would shut down from stress. I sometimes feel a little bad for Hobi in these adventures because we know he thrives on having a plan and being organized.

So, rm was known in the past to snore very loudly. In later years, he had a minor surgery (something that had to do with his nasal cavity or passageway or something) that was said to improve his breathing when he slept.

It’s lovely to see you all have even more of an emotional connection to them all. When Jiminie lost his bag, how you felt for him was exactly how I felt watching the first time. You begin to care about them and I can honestly say after 3 and a bit years, I love them to pieces. Watching them grow through all of the extra content, seeing how they struggled and the hardships they went through, you can’t help but feel empathy towards them all. lol i am from denmark and nowegian is almost the same in spelling so i could understand it all. i wish i was there to help them. and JK loves washing clothes and fold it after. he do it on all the trips. and even at home they teased him about his dining table was being used as a wardrobe with folded clothes everywhere. Poor Namjoon with his snoring - I know in one season of BV - maybe this one, you can see a CPAP machine on his nightstand. My guess is he had a screwed up deviated septum which was repaired when he got the surgery. I have the same problem and need to use a CPAP at night because of that as well. I'm spooked as hell to get the surgery (my ENT said I'd need a complete reconstruction by a specialist plastic surgeon wahhh).

Oh wasn’t this episode on Weverse? If it helps at all, I had a Korean error message and couldn’t play season one at all when I tried to watch it from My laptop connecting to the tv monitor but it would work that way until I had to Download Weverse app as part of the TV app. I didn’t even know you can download Weverse app on your tv…or maybe only available depending what tv you have….

Just some trivia: The suitcase was a gift from Jimin’s dad that’s why he didn’t want to lose it. Later on you’ll learn “important business-seu” 😁 The coming of age party is celebrating JK being an adult now. In Korean age, he is now 20 but since this was in May or so 2016, he was technically still 18 (going on 19). This means he can already drink but in countries they go to, they’ll follow their international age and you may see him not able to drink yet in couple of BV seasons. 😊

The part where you guys asked if it was their song was actually the song Converse High.. one of their earlier songs. The boys were actually already quite well-known at this point too but like you said, not really to the point that they were bombarded with fans.. There are some points in their trip where they get approached and you will get their catchphrase that they will use when they can't do more interactions with people who ran into them. Also, as a fandom, we honour their private time should we know that they are travelling to our country.. we try to like fangirl/fanboy from afar.. and not interrupt or disturb them as far as possible. The boys gave us so much so in return, we would love for them to be normal as far as possible when they are travelling. They are incidences we read on twitter or ARMY bumping into the members but respectfully kept their distance. But there are some who did come and said hi.. however probably just to show their appreciation of the boys.. It's sort of like a silent agreement to respect the boys when they are on the move.. and give them the space they need.

For the future, watch the episodes on Weverse but if you leave a Weverse video on pause for too long, you'll get that grey/black screen. Just refresh it and hit play. We all have these issues, but it's also the best place to watch the videos and it holds your place if you ever close the window.

just wanted to point out that it's insane that bts was listening to coldplay back in 2016 and they absolutely has NO IDEA they would do a collab just five years later. it gives me goosebumps to look at it from that perspective. these boys had NO IDEA what was coming for them.

Here are a few answers to some of your questions. Sorry if someone has already told you, lol. They usually travel on commercial flights. They have only taken private jets a few times. They also still have camera men and some security with them. They are just not supposed to help them with anything. They are just there to keep them safe and film them, lol. Also, some of the captions on the site you are using are incorrect. When they did Bon Voyage they weren't super big yet so a lot of people didn't know who they were. There are a few ARMY that recognize them. But ARMY is also very respectful. We don't ask for autographs or even try to talk to them. Most ARMY won't even take a picture or video. We give them their space and don't interfere with their private time. You will see some ARMY ask for a picture but the boys politely decline. Mostly just to keep it fare and safe for everyone around them 💜💜💜

i love this series and the In The Soop series because you just get to see them relax and have fun, they don't have any set schedules, for the most part, they just do whatever they feel like doing unless there is a surprise staff planned for them. also, it's a bit nostalgic for me to watch because it's like seeing a big happy family spending time together. they always wait for everyone to be present to eat together unless they're split up in groups. i just love the connection they have with each other it's beautiful

They take more private jets when flying within the US or if paid for by others (Tae to Celine Paris show and JK to Qatar for world cup performance). They travel 1st class now on commercial and not business class since too many saseangs (crazy stalker fans) around. x

Thank you guys for this reaction! As you watch older cont you’ll notice sometimes that the subtitles are slightly off or have some error. Also there’s times where the guys will call each other by their real names or even just Hyung(Older Brother) by the younger gets, but the staff will caption it as their stage names instead.

I can't wait to watch this with you for millionth time 😆. Yes they travelled with a really small crew, it will be really irresponsible to them and their families to left the boys completely alone. The sound editing and mixing in the first season is pretty bad but it gets better next seasons, can you try to add more volume to BV video because it was on the low and it was hard to hear the guys too. Also don't forget they are 7 boys, of course the food will be the amount we saw 😊. I am excited for the whole journey for you, it really is a fun one

I think they started flying private for LY or LYSY tours. They were just too big to do commercial flights, and the airline employees selling their flight info was getting out of hand.

A few things. Remember your words. Don't lose your passport. BTS was not known in Those countries yet. Thus no swarming of fans. Notice Jin was out walking around for 3 hours by himself. He came from a rich family. Had a credit card. Could buy some food and drink by himself. He did that a lot in the early days. He would go to a bar by himself, but he was not a party person. Didnt get drunk. One soju worked for him. . Walking around for freedom and to to restore mental health. Being with 6 younger brothers all the time...ALL the time would drive me crazy too. And notice no bodyguards for them yet. Again, the early days. More. Suga was a father to them too. Cultural...giving a kiss and a rose and a present and slaps on the back on a birthday especially coming of age was Normal. Money wise. They were on a tight budget. Not a rich company yet. I don't think the guys had their own rooms until they started touring for their concerts. But their boss Mr. Bang, was brilliant. Helping them to grow up and make the trip on their own very important. And marketing wise ...filming them "On vacation" Brilliant idea. Never been done before. Also, you have to realize being filmed on vacation 24 x 7 was not really a vacation. They were still working. Under strict contract rules. Here is the creep factor for me and they still do it. They go in their bedroom and film them waking up and then going to sleep. So invasive of their privacy in my opinion. And they were brothers and would cuddle. They were the only family they had. You will see. V the biggest cuddler.

Since you were kind of guessing. No they never cooked for the camera people or crew or staff...just for themselves. That money was just for them. Jin is also a great cook.

The staff did not sleep in there with them. The staff never slept in the same rooms or house or apt with them. But really think about this...their whole life..Every Minute was filmed. They had to get used to that. They lived their whole life with staff and camera people in the same room with them. Everywhere! Later the filming got better. You never saw the camera people in the shot with them. Also they would cover every room with covert cameras. And cameras that would move as they moved.

Please Google how to pronounce Bon Voyage. You have the Bon right. But not the correct French pronounciation for Voyage. The g has more of a Z sound. Thought you would want to know. Just like you correctly pronounced "Despacito" for us.

I know. I think about that a lot. Like, how much of their lives is documented? How many files does HYBE have archived that's just the BTS members living their lives. Footage of practices, backstage at shows, concerts, in the car on the way to other places. It's kind of crazy when you think about it. And it must be strange for them as well when they think about it. I wonder if they ever wonder what they were thinking with how much of their lives they spend in front of a camera. For us.

You guys are hilarious when you realized you were watching the wrong video! Thank you so much for keeping that in there. I loved it. I hope you do go back and watch the commentary after you see the whole season, though. Haha. I had my mom pack for me last year when I had to make a sudden trip after my grandmother had a stroke. I was already at work when we had to change our flight, and I had to leave work early to meet my dad at the airport. Mom threw some of my clothes in the wash (because I hadn't had time to do laundry yet) and packed it after putting them in the dryer for a bit, but some of it wasn't even completely dry yet, just stuffed in a plastic bag in my suitcase. When I got there, I found that I had 3 pairs of jeans, one pair of dress pants, 6 pairs of socks (plus two that didn't match), 7 pairs of underwear, 5 long sleeve thermals and once fleece sweater. This was at the end of March and I was flying to Texas. 5 long sleeve thermals and a fleece sweater in 80 degree weather... ...I refuse to let my mom pack for me ever again.

I have seen a couple other patreons post here about how international ARMY treat them when they travel. Sure, there are outliers and fans who get disrespectful within any fandom; but, for the most part, ARMY are very respectful. The unspoken rule among ARMY is--if you see a member traveling and it is not on an official schedule, NO YOU DIDN'T. That is their personal time, and they already give so much of themselves to us that we should respect that. The members have even commented about how thankful they are when ARMY ignores them while they are traveling on their own. It is interesting to watch how the recognition changes from season to season and location to location. By Season 4 of BV they were being recognized much more frequently, but still mostly just waved at or yelled hello to. I look forward to watching you react to more episodes and enjoying the rewatch with you!

I'm super late the the party, and just catching up on everything, but this was so much fun to watch again with y'all. The Bon Voyage series is so priceless because you really do get to see them grow up and have experiences outside of the normal idol life. I think things like this are a big part of what's kept them so grounded and humble. It's always been important to them to just be normal boys from Korea. Having to figure out how to travel and keep track of your stuff and budget... Those are normal things the show allowed them to do that idol life does not. Also, I loved your first reaction to them playing rock, paper, scissors. I think the universal first response is always, "WAIT... What just happened???"

I think that's why we have the obligation to be kind and respectful towards them. The amount of so called fans that treat them as either gods or somehow less worthy of basic human respect truly makes me upset. They spend and have spent so much of their lives this far in front of a camera just for us and therefore, we have the obligation to ignore them in public and let them live their lives in peace. It's definitely just basic respect, but I honestly think it's a straight up hard requirement when it comes to BTS. I don't know if what I mean is coming through well...... basically you should always be respectful, but in situations where the person is literally airing their life for you, it's even more so. I think it's somehow even worse when someone is disrespectful in that situation.

Norwegians are really good at English by the way, it's basically our second language. And yes, back then they weren't as famous as today. I was even in Bergen the same day as they were there, but I wasn't an Army back then unfortunately so I wouldn't have known who they were either. I might have passed by the members on several occasions that day because they walked around the same spots as I did.

Jin definitely is a drinker and has a lot more than just one soju lol him , jimin and jk were known to drink together often ….. they drank quite a bit but didn’t show it on camera bc jk couldn’t drink at the time.:. So they just didn’t want to drink with him there on camera and ppl assume he was drinking too… bc he wasn’t until his birthday. The sleeping thing is so weird to me… but they knew what being an idol meant and what came with it… and as creepy as some of this is with the cameras and stuff… they’re treated with more care than most idols by their company. I remember when they fired that manager that was seen raising his hand to jungkook and him flinching…. But yeh uncomfortable knowing there’s all that footage of them. I’d imagine bc of their status now that they have better control over that… I hope anyway

Jungkook takes Pictures but he also takes videos and then edits them… he calls them “golden closer films” or GCFs and he posts them and they’re always with the members.. but it’s kinda fun seeing how he learned to do that through YouTube 😂 he said he followed a tutorial the first time but you can. For their coming of age birthday it’s when they become an adult in their culture … basically he was turning like 18-19 .. hard to say bc of the way they celebrate it.. but it’s tradition to give that person a flower, cologne and a kiss or something like that… so that’s why they were looking for those things and mentioned a kiss lol there’s this song that some of the idols perform a dance cover of bc the song is like this girl saying she’s old enough to give herself to her man now and it’s like this sexy dance… well some idols male and female will do the dance cover to that song for their fans. The girls use similar choreo to the OG one and boys usually change it mostly… well for one of their special concerts and jungkooks coming of age… jimin and jungkook threw together a dance cover for it 😂 the song sounds pretty cool but the lyrics kinda creep me out lol but they kept like half the dance the girls choreo and added some MJ ish style dance for the second half and did their dance in these little suits with hats.. it is kinda supposed to be funny but cheeky for the boys to do it… but it came out way better than I expected and they really committed to the assignment lol I hope you guys get to react to that “coming of age” dance cover of jungkook and jimin.. I think it was the same concert they did the “black or white” dance to Michael Jackson’s song…. It was fire!!!! Really fun and cool performances

I read what you guys said about the behind cams but I think they’re all like 7 - 10 minutes.. and it’s only BTS handheld camera footage so it’s straight from the boys… it’s all just shot that way and so you miss out on those sweet bond moments between the members when they’re not with the staff… and it’s so short .. so hopefully it will work to do in the future.. bc a lot of iconic moments come from those cameras!! Either way, so glad you enjoyed it !

Guys, learning Korean is...💀 I started 2 weeks ago and let me tell you, that's /HARD/, and im just at their alphabet. They have vowels, double vowels, plain consonants, aspirated consonants and tense consonants. AND, as if it wasn't hard enough, some consonants have different sounds depending on where they are situated, like at the beginning, middle or end of the word. My love for bts really keeps me going lmaoo 😭😭💀
