Confused. I watched this on YT yesterday. Or does this contain something different?

Madison

they did accidentally release something earlier so this might've been it (i didn't see what it was but i saw the comment they made about it)

They actually did perform this live together, at one of the BTS shows in LA at the end of 2021. I was fortunate enough to be there. It was at the end of the concert and we were all surprised when My Universe started playing. Everyone kind of went crazy when Chris Martin joined them on stage to sing the song. I'll never forget that moment. You may be able to find a fan cam of it on YouTube, if you look.

I love their relationship together it's really beautiful to watch

sara

I suggest watching the shooting sketch and a live performance after every MV you watch

You guys should do a lot more behind the scenes of BTS. Definitely will see more why people love BTS for more than just their music. Lots of documentaries on youtube <3 Thanks for everything!

BTS and Coldplay actually performed My Universe at the AMA's and also during BTS' PTD concert in LA! AMA link : https://youtu.be/9L3aw9PfDpw Concert : https://youtu.be/xGn1ZoJZYWE

I was able to see My Universe live in LA at the last PTD show and it was breathtakingly beautiful live!!!!

I love the relationship they have with Coldplay. You can just tell that both are so genuine and have so much respect for each other and their work. Just people doing what they love the most which is making music that brings such good positive vibes to the fans. I was lucky enough to experience My Universe live when they had their Permission To Dance On Stage in LA on the last concert day. It was so amazing and you can just feel the love and happiness it brought everyone🥺💜

I don’t think it was ever “why would I make a song with a ‘K-pop band’ ,” I think he was confused as to HOW it would work considering Coldplay doesn’t do a ton of collabs and supposedly they don’t typically allow actual covers of their songs.. like it was a big deal that they let BTS cover “fix you,” in the first place type thing. Considering BTS really broke through the western music industry kind of as they were the ones who really started forcing ppl to take note of them and interested in what music they made… it’s pretty typical for those of us from western culture to assume a “K-pop” group wouldn’t sing in English at all… but once you get educated on the insane differences between the entertainment industry in Korea compared to the biggest entertainment industry in the world.. you start to realize we’re pretty ignorant to what these artists do lol pretty much every K-pop group or Korean artist I’ve heard of has English in their songs… even if they don’t even speak English… and South Korea is pretty small… and English is the most spoken language in the world… so having some English in songs is a way to appeal to a bigger market. You’ll notice that even if there’s very little English in the songs… the titles are almost always in English…. Typical English sections will be choruses … and I forgot you guys wouldn’t know that so when you watched “no more dream” you were surprised there was English from day 1 with them… but it’s the whole industry culture there.. not just BTS . Our lack of knowledge of the vast differences between artists in Korea and artists here like in the US is one of the hardest things for new viewers to understand. The entire system and how music works there is totally different than there .. like radio play isn’t that big of a deal there compared to here where it’s huge. Music shows weekly are how people find new music and artists in sk. It really would benefit you guys to watch “rise of bangtan” the docuseries created by army’s that is chronological starting from before the debuted.. filled with video logs, just them and their day to day life before and after they debuted.. behind the scenes of them shooting mvs, recording music, performing… but not only that but it does a pretty good job of showing what’s so different there as opposed to the US.. or other international army so we can really understand how crazy it is that they’re as big as they are… and fill in our more ignorant assumptions about Korean culture and shows how BTS walked the line between both worlds and is succeeded in them both as well.. and are the first Korean born artists to really do so. There’s a lot of normal inaccurate assumptions by you guys for the same reason we all made them at first lol when you begin to really understand things about the industry and their culture… you’re just going to have even more respect for them and what they’ve achieved.. it’s truly inspiring. Rise of bangtan the docuseries on YouTube has like 25 episodes and they’re like 45 min per episode and each episode has bonus content or deleted scenes or something that’s like another 10 minutes or so… but the series also lays out huge bookmarks in their careers and shows you why it’s such a big deal… I think you guys would learn so much and understand so much more if you’re able to check these out and react if you can! It’s so eye opening ! Oh yeh and lastly.. BTS don’t consider themselves a big deal… there are behind the scenes for all their first big award shows in the US or the big talk shows when they barely were getting recognition here… the AMAs was their debut in the US And I think the following year was when they were nominated at the billboard music awards that they won… or maybe amas was second… but regardless… you can watch the behind the scenes and them flipping out the whole time all these artists were coming to meet them lol like Halsey, tori Kelly who jungkook released a cover of her song and she said she heard it and he was freaking out and touching his ears which is what he does when he’s stressed lol it was so cute, they met like drake and I think rm was freaking out, Cardi b , even Madonna lol but they fanboy so hard over so many artists and it’s the most endearing thing ever to witness… even now… like at the Grammys… they’re still so star struck and appreciative. You guys would love seeing these things.. it’s crazy and so beautiful.

You guys should watch the actual video from when the army surprised BTS by singing “young forever” to them and they were so touched… bc you saw a little part of it from one of the guide videos… but there’s actually a video of it you can watch the whole thing.. and it’s absolutely worth the watch even if you’ve seen a little of it !!

yes please watch THE RISE OF BANGTAN. As the other ARMY commented above, it would explain SO MUCH. As OG 2013 ARMY I know it's unfair to cringe when reactors who don't know better say some really off things. Some, like you guys, are on the mostly funny and cute, confused and a little culture shook side, but some go right through the spectrum all the way to incredibly condescending bordering on (or even outright) prejudiced and kinda racist. Believe me, we've heard everything at this point. Keep doing your thing coz we can tell you guys are genuinely interested in learning about them, appreciating their music, artistry, and personalities as individuals AND their dynamics as a group. All this is greatly appreciated, coz our boys deserve the utmost love or at least respect. They've definitely earned it, not just with their unsurpassed level of artistry, but with their integrity and great character as human beings. The Rise Of Bangtan would really help you guys along on your Quest to peak BTS knowledge (lolz) and would make it SO MUCH easier and less hectic for you to understand certain concepts, or how things are done not only by BTS but also in the Korean Entertainment Industry as a whole. Context and stuff can really change how you consume an artist's content and give you an even greater appreciation for what they do and what they've achieved when you know what the base level IS. The Korean Music Industry really IS a completely DIFFERENT BEAST from the International Mainstream Music Industry. It's a testament to their excellence and creative genius, that they've been able to traverse (and basically TAKE OVER) both simultaneously, and have Longevity while doing so. While their upward Trajectory has been nothing short of Otherworldly, most OG ARMIES will tell you, none of it was ever unprecedented. We saw it coming from the start. As many groups have previously tried and failed to make it globally, before them, we somehow knew and felt that if anyone could do it, it was our "7 normal boys from Korea". I Joined your Patreon a week or so ago because I'm obsessed with you guys on YOUTUBE. Having watched ALL their content (Sometimes multiple times), I thought I should also come put in my 2 cents worth for guidance on how to maybe navigate all this. We are ALL so HERE for this journey of yours down the BTS Rabbit Hole. I think at this point we might even be enjoying it more than you. And you guys seem like you're having a blast. So as Jimin VERY FAMOUSLY once said, "YOU NICE. KEEP GOING".

Claudia

Please watch the video from when army surprised BTS by singing Young Forever, It was so amazing
