You mentioned Ego and Shadow. Ego (solo from J-hope), Shadow (solo from Suga) and Persona where the "Concept" of Map of the Soul: 7 (their Album). They all rap about the parts of the Soul and its also connected so you get a bigger picture at the end out of the parts😊

BTS likes to do things in trilogy and likes to tell a story through the flow of the album. Map of the Soul is technically mentioned first in the BU era or better yet, BU era “ends” with telling a member he needs to find his Map of the Soul… which leads us to Persona and & Map of the Soul 7 album. Daniel mentioned a couple times of RM’s shadow and anxiety— well this concept will be even more pronounced in SUGA’s SHADOW. Originally, the plan was to release a trilogy album: Persona, Shadow & Ego. But it was all combined instead in MotS 7. Personally, this is my favorite album. May I make a suggestion? (Hahaha, probably an unpopular one) - just do a listen through to whole albums (no MV). That way, you guys get more familiar with their music quickly without feeling so behind. It can be on your own time, and no reaction needed. Maybe just your general thoughts on each album. Then all YT reactions can be: 1. MV contents (making of or explanation videos) 2. Live performances and dance practice 3. Deep dive into lyrics for songs with or without MV. Plus you still have all the shows, docuseries, VLive and endless fan-made videos including quizzes. There are 6 BTS shows alone thus far excluding all the new short series shows.

Awesome reaction!!! And yeah, there is a lot to unpack in this. Hope you guys can check DKDKTV video about it, because there's a connection between Persona, Ego (jhope's solo) and Shadow (Suga's solo) in the Map of the Soul series.

Thanks for posting the uncut version. I'm not sure why the editor is needing to add the breaks in the youtube version though. Is it because you're trying to monetize? If you're not monetizing, I thought you just needed to accept the copyright claims and then you're good to go. I'm not a youtube creator though so just what I've gathered over the years from other reactors.

I love the entire Map of the Soul 7 album, based on Carl Jung’s work. He raps about the different personas (what you show to the world) so he is RM, the leader, Namjoon, etc. Suga sings about the shadow, what we try to hide from others, and J hope sings about Ego, which is realized when you accept both the persona and the shadows. The entire album is exploring all three. It’s incredible! BigHit released some of RM’s songs on SoundCloud to both Spotify and AM… his Mono is incredible and the Bicycle is amazing! Thank you!

I think you guys should also watch the DKDKTV Explanation videos by a korean. Appreciate you guys diving into the lyrics but there are aloooot of easter eggs in the music video that would make your appreciation rise. Especially in this Map of The Soul Series. You reacted to Idol MV and actually missed alot of korean references that would be found in the DKDKTV explanation videos.

Totally agree with Marina, DKDKTV is a good place to find many explanations for BTS songs. ESP ones wrapped in Korean culture and history. Also you should know that RM was reading and studying Karl Jung before he came up with this POV. Looking for answers to his own questions. It's not important in anything other than understanding how he goes after answers, but RM ( like myself) is an atheist. Loved watching this reaction!

Hi Mary. It’s a mix of copyright and blocks. If it’s only a copyright, it can be posted. However, some videos that were allowed as copyright ended up getting blocked anyway a day or 2 later. We try to avoid them all together but aren’t always able to. I’d say about half our videos have an active copyright on them. For longer content like MMA, there are many more opportunities for copyrights to become blocks so we try harder to avoid it on those videos. Youtube’s algorithm seems to be very inconsistent, but we’re learning a little bit more each time we upload.

You all reacted to Best Yet to Come video where the members stated the Proof album was like a guidelines of BTS and that included an order of their music which can better help you in with the meaning of the lyrics...so it's good you all enjoy watching the MV but jumping around with the videos will hinder the exact meaning of the lyrics..BTS has provided that order.

The song was not written for the Sewol Ferry incident. The MV storyline was, but not the song. RM said he wrote this song thinking about his friends he’s lost in touch with. people confuse this quite a bit but the song isn't written about the tragedy, the music video is about that. the lyrics are personal to the members about lost friends.

Hi Bangtan! We’ve actually talked about this. We plan on doing some of their paid content in another tier. But in this tier will also include some new stuff, it’s also being worked out right now (the scheduling, the timeline, etc). Since this is all so new we didn’t have a comprehensive infrastructure in place, but we’re slowly getting there!
