Good Morning VIP Primos!

Exciting morning around here. It's time for the PREMIERE of In The Soop! It's S1E1, Excited to Begin.

First episode and it feels like anything goes at the Bukhan River! After picking their rooms and separating groceries the guys are off for some fun activities. This episode goes by fast and feels like it is going to be an easy watch. Excited to see how things progress over the next 4 days.

If I'm not mistaken, Jimin said he got his driver's licence when they were on their break in 2019, just before they went to NZ for BV4. That's why he didn't drive in Malta, and maybe was hesitant to in NZ, esp since there they drive on the left side of the road.

The clothes they were wearing at the start (the ones from Fila) you will see them in a Run episode The production from in the soop gets even bigger in the second season I do not know if you paid attention but Rm was helping Jungkook with the writing of Still with you You already heard it but with no music Dynamite was still not out by the time they were filming in the Soop We enjoyed you reacting to In the soop ☺️

He wasn’t driving a car just riding an electric scooter, which apparently you can not do if you have been drinking. He will just get a fine. No discipline from the military either as he is doing a social service and therefore will only be disciplined if he does something wrong during work hours. The rest of their time is there own.

i love seeing them do everyday life things. Especially since theyre musicians, later on in the show you will see how work comes naturally to them. Its also so endearing to watch their bond with each member, they really love and adore each other 💜

In the soop was my first BTS reality! Because when I became ARMY they were with the date of the second season out. I have so much love for this show that when you started Bon Voyage, I wanted In The soop SO BAD, NOW IS THE DAYYYYY!! About the mosquitos: it's about genetics! My dad's family has a good genetics for the mosquitos to bite. Me and my sister both have it. My mom doesn't feel A THING. My nephew and niece both got that genetics too. My mom side is a mix of some good for mosquitos, some not, but most of them are not good for mosquitos.

Im jealous you guys have Palisade. It was sold out when we were getting a car for us because bts endorsed them. At one point Hyundai had 50k+ orders, double than their estimate so the wait time was insane.

I haven’t been able to rewatch ITS ever since my old Weverse account got hacked and I could no longer sign into it. I lost quite a bit of paid content so I’m really happy to be able to rewatch it now with y’all. It was so comforting to watch back in 2020 and it still is now. 💜 I get to start ITS again AND there’s only 12 hours left until Are You Sure?! comes out — what a great day. 🥲

Just FYI: The first season of In the Soop wasn’t filmed in August. It was released in August of 2020, but it was filmed around the end of May/beginning of June. So it was just a couple of months after everything started to get shut down. Their tour had been postponed by this point but they wouldn’t officially cancel it until around the time they filmed In the Soop Season 2.

I feel like he's built up enough good will over the past ten years, by his actions, attitude and words, that I find it very easy to believe him when he say's he didn't know the law regarding this. Foolish perhaps, but certainly not something that deserves the explosive reaction he's received. I just hope it doesn't effect his mental health.

I agree. Yoongi is a tough cookie. I just hope he will not be too hard on himself and accept the consequences with open arms. I am just being sad and paranoid. Added the info that he was just from nearby after a drink makes me think that he was from Jin’s home and they were together before the incident. That thought makes me sick in the stomach. 🥹

So since it’s during pandemic - the crew was not as huge as bon voyage crew but with the rotating cameras and everything a lot of it is captured without too many cameramen

The episodes always go by SO FAST!!! So glad yall are loving it, Tae (In the Soop was filmed shortly after/around the time that Tae wrote Blue and Grey which he wrote about feeling depressed during quarantine) and Namjoon especially had very calm vibes throughout this season of In the Soop though they definitely have fun playing around too in future episodes! 💜💜 so excited for more In the Soop!

About the noodle dish they made - Jjapaguri or Chapaguri is made by combining 2 brands of popular instant ramen, Chapagetti and Neoguri, cooked dry-ish rather then soupy. It was made famous by the movie Parasite, where they topped it with rib-eye (to accentuate the difference in class between the 2 families in the movie) I have made it many times - it's yummy with or without the fancy steak on top. The dish is also called Ramdon, which is a portmanteau of ramen & udon

45:49 Hobi is drinking lemon-lime flavoured pop they call "cider". It's another English loan word bc they call all such drinks "cider". This brand is specifically Chilsung Cider and this must be paid advertisement bc there are at least 3 of these fridges at this location, stocked full lol Also, BTS have done ads for Chilsung Cider.

Yay, I really needed ITS today! Thanks for the reaction. I thought I'd share a few bits and bobs about the episode and series. Musical Context - As another commenter mentioned, they filmed this in late May/early June 2020. At that point, (1) their Seoul concerts had been cancelled and the rest of the tour postponed; (2) Tae was working with NIve on songs for his mixtape, including Blue & Grey; (3) IU & Suga had released Eight at the beginning of the month; and (4) Suga had just released his mixtape D2 (and started work on what would become D-Day). Additionally, the members had started working on a new album (BE) to chronicle their feelings during the time, with Jimin acting as Project Manager. - The song that JK and RM were discussing in the car was Still With You, which would be released as Jungkook's Festa gift to us in early June 2020. I don't think you've listened to the full song yet, but you heard JK's isolated vocals when you listened to Proof Disc 3. Sponsorships: At this time, BTS were spokesmodels for several brands that appear in the series. - As you noticed, they have Hyundai vehicles to get around. - The Fila sweatsuits that they're wearing at the beginning of the episode will actually appear later on in Run BTS (they filmed a bunch that day). - The house is stocked with Chilsung Cider, which looks (and I think tastes?) a lot like Sprite. - Once again, Hello Nature provided groceries for the trip. - The houses have several Samsung appliances, but I'm not sure if those were already there or brought in for the show, lol. - Once brand that did not sponsor anything for the series is Lego, so every time the guys use that name it's censored with a little bird whistle and translated as "blocks" in the subtitles. Last Note: A shorter version of In the Soop was broadcast on Korean television (specifically JTBC, lol), with the extended version available on Weverse. For this reason, you may see Jimin's and JK's tattoos blurred at some times but not others. The scenes with blurred tattoos were part of the television broadcast and therefore produced in accordance with those rules. The Weverse-exclusive footage is not blurred.

that's so funny that you guys opened up the vid by talking about earthquakes because we just had a small one in california last night LOL i was actually watching bts content while laying on the couch and i felt the little tremors but i thought it was just me being slightly unstable on the couch (i was on my stomach using my elbows to prop my head up on my hands) but then i looked at my lamp and the lamp shade was moving (and it's some sort of heavy duty stained glass) and I realized "oop it's an earthquake" and went back to watching bts 😭😭

It's because in the US we don't separate food waste. We throw it in the garbage or put it down the garbage disposal. Some people compost it but it's generally not separate waste.

On my first experience fishing, I was on a camping trip with a few other families, and one of the other children there got their fishing hook stuck in my leg and I have been turned off from fishing ever since. That experience scarred me fr, I can’t be near a fishing rod without thinking about it 😭

Yoongi was driving a small scooter after dinner where he had drinks, he arrived home safely no one was hurt, but he tripped in his own driveway, which he was then fined for because they discovered he had drank.

Sometimes it's okay to pause the video if you want to talk. Even when you're not talking y'all still be missing out on a lot of things. Which is a shame giving the fact that every question you ask is later explained in the brackets of the subtitles. PLEASE take your time to read the subtitles carefully. Countries like South Korea and Japan don't play with the way they sort out their trash ( in Japan it's even harder ) but it's mostly like this : - a trash bag for plastics, - Food waste - Bottles & Cans etc...

Joonie’s outfit in this episode is giving Indigo vibes. When he helped JK with his lyrics, it made me realize how comforting it must be for the members to have someone like him to lean on. Jimin being the only one to reach the toll ticket dispenser is a little vindication for something that happens in a later Run episode. lol. He looked like such a time traveler next to the others. It’s been awhile since I have rewatched this (waiting to do it with you guys), and I had forgotten how hilarious Jin was during all of ITS. He is such a mood. Namjoon-ah, did you know I am a ping pong master?!? 😂 Hobi’s excitement to recreate building a plane like he did as a child is the MOST PRECIOUS thing. I love how he throws himself into everything 1000%. Yoongi immediately calling dibs on the camper van. I knew he would do that. He looks so laid back and without a care in this-unassuming. I forgot this is the same guy who blew my mind with the Daechwita mv. Kookie performing the sniff test on his room. He’s such an endearing oddball. It cracks me up how he’s *always* surprised by how much food they can eat, when we know he is one of the members with the best appetite. The peak domesticity of Tae washing dishes. That he has a whole set of rules for how he washes them is adorable. And I forgot how obsessed I am with his hair during ITS. He’s so beautiful, I want to weep. There is something inexplicably comforting about this series- it probably is partly because it provides a sense of normalcy through the Tannies’ lives during a period most of us were living in a most abnormal manner. And they’re just genuinely good people who genuinely enjoy spending time together. I’m looking forward to seeing CCW fall in love with it like the rest of ARMY.

with the trash bags in korea, there’s very specific ones/colors for types of trash. i’ve never felt so stressed in my life trying to get the trash category correct😂. i swear there was at least 8 categories. because they say cctv IS watching you and you better get it right bc they know lol

Yes, you giys noticed. Tae did get more reserved, compared to earlier, after all the things he went through, he matured a lot in a short span of time. You'll see JK mentioning it in later episodes. I'm glad he is happy and found a way to still good around though 🤍

the way i got it from yoongi's and tae's suchwita episode when they said 90% was cut -- in the context tae was saying he doesn't want cameras when they go to see aurora, because they won't be able to totally relax and be themselves, he said "we will have to do something", meaning they'll have to be entertaining for the sake of the content. then yoongi says "no we won't, remember in the soop. 90% was cut", meaning they didn't have to do anything for the cameras and were just chilling, so 90% was "boring" stuff. also i imagine they record the whole day and they have to cut a lot to make an hour long episode, so they probably only keep the most interesting parts, but still the pacing was very chill and relaxed, which me and a lot of armys liked so much

Hanbok’s are traditional Korean dress that Koreans wear for special ocassions ! For example you would wear one to a Korean wedding if that’s what the wedding party wants to do! My cousin is getting married in December and they want the family to wear hanbok’s for a picture or two during wedding festivities! It’s kinda like a kimono for the Japanese

From what i’ve learned south korea take their recycling & trash seriously so they separate their stuff into 3 different categories (trash, recycle & food waste) which is smart!

I may have watched the whole ITS at least 10 times. It is so healing. I just leave it on playing in the background when I need motivation. It is my sister’s and mother’s favorite. When my mother was in home hospice and became disoriented, she sang “Soop, Soop, Soop” with us when we wanted her to smile. I miss her. This show has healed me so many times over 💜
