Good Morning Primos!

It's time for a brand new RUN BTS! Protect the Town

Today, the guys are on the hunt to find THE OUTSIDER! 😲 Who will it be?!

We did not have time for both 47 and 48 as we know they go together, so be on that lookout for 48 next week. But we were pumped to watch what we heard was a fan favorite, and it didn't disappoint!

Fun fact we actually have lots of role playing games like this in japan, korea and china I went with my friends one time and was paired with strangers my friend was the empress and people have find who assassinated her and we have to act like the real characters and was in beautiful traditional gowns and it was a whole set it was so fun! I was the detective but at the same time I was also the culprit haha! It was so fun showing fake hints and trying to make everyone go to jail but eventually they found me

just to make sure we’re clear — the premise of this game is mafia mixed with an escape room, kind of. by solving the hints, they get clues about the intruders. there are a certain number of intruders from the blue village hidden amongst the members of the bts village. so far, the biggest hint that is being spread is that if a member has an odd number on their store, they could possibly be the intruder. and the hint from the locker is that they have blue clothes.

Great reaction! I don’t know if anyone’s let you guys know yet that there are multiple “Blue Village” episodes further down the road as it was so popular with the fandom. They are all so funny (and they get bigger as the RUN BTS budget grows). They get so into these games and seeing the members suspicious of one another is hilarious. It’s also really fun to go back and rewatch the episodes once you know who the spies are too. Looking forward to next week.

Wow you have to be careful what you say so that you don’t give a spoiler. The next episode is iconic for many reasons. I have only been to an escape room once. A few years ago my daughter and her husband took me to watch a BTS movie for my birthday followed by an escape room. Loved it even though we did not escape, we had just guessed the final clue and heading to the door to escape when they told us we had been blown up. Sad but fun. You will be laughing a lot at the end of the next one! 💜💜💜💜

Me too! one of my daughters was really into them, so I started to look at their stuff just to figure out if I was ok with her obsession and first I discovered their dance practice videos, and that is what hooked me. (And it only took a few videos total before I locked in on my bias--I still remember distinctly it was the "Boy With Luv" "dance practice" on James Cordon, and I found I could not take my eyes off the smiling emo guy all in black with the black combat boots. . . : ) So I started watching more of their content and so quickly dance practices and Run BTS episodes became my COVID lockdown happy place. And BTS reaction videos! The music was enjoyable but not what made me fall in love with them. I realized during 2020 especially here in America everything in the news and social media was trying to divide people, and so geeking out on BTS choreo with the Whatchagot2say guys--three black male guys from the South (or Texas?), and me a white middle-aged mom from CA--was really healing. And I realized that watching Run BTS was also surprisingly inspiring--it was a group of guys who clearly showed up every time not knowing what they were going to be doing but being ready to jump in and do their best. That's an attitude we need more of! They would sometimes bicker and betray and show their less-than-best selves, but they always prioritized the feelings of the others and reconciliation. Individually they would make what I call "bids for affection"--asking for compliments, seeking a hug, etc.--and the other members were quick to praise and affirm. The silly show Run BTS ended up like a playbook for living life well with others to me, especially for family. I found that thinking about the dynamics I saw on this show that I appreciated ended up being values I intentionally tried to encourage with my own kids. The guys in BTS were just showing up and doing their job (and even then sometimes someone isn't all in--we're looking at you, Tae!) but they were bringing their best selves to the moment, trying to be flexible, open-minded, generous, kind, and looking to make the most of--and even enjoy--whatever was before them.

In other words, Run BTS was surprising influential on my thinking during those years, and so I feel very strong affection for both the group and the show. It is SO fun watching these with the CCW crew! (And I CAN'T WAIT for them to get to In the SOOP episodes too!

I think SOO many armys go down this path, myself included! I vaguely knew they made pop music, but what reeled me in was funny interviews and then compilation videos.. then eventually watching Run episodes and diving into their discography….. no turning back after that 😂💜

For future reference with calculating won to USD, I just guesstimate that $1 = ROUGHLY 1000 won. So $5 is ROUGHLY 5000 won. The real number is like $1 = ~1300 won, but yeah I just say 1000 so at least I know the ballpark.

I've lived in Dallas my whole life and they do have this back in the days. I was in the 6th grade and we went on a fieldtrip to a place called Enterprise City and we had to learn adulting. How to write checks, spend money, calculate taxes, and jobs. We even had to learn street signs if we drive the wrong way or did anything illegal we'd get a citation from the police lol and the money can really purchase things. I worked as a cashier at the snack shop. We had a whole school day. I never forget that day....so much fun. But now real adulting life isn't fun like that lol
