In korean food fun fact but a lot of meat have sugar in it they marinate meat with sugar and soy sauce now that sounds weird but it taste pretty good just like teriyaki chicken etc

kimbap is different from sushi! kimbap usually uses cooked ingredients, like cooked meat. whereas sushi has more raw ingredients, like raw fish. i think how they season the rice is also different. and during jimin’s taste turn, he was eating rice cakes. one was with honey and the other was probably just a sugar syrup. it’s a pretty common dessert in korea.

omg yes calamansiii, it's a small citrus idk if it's considered fruit but we usually add it to sauce and we also have calamansi juice which could be use for treatment for cold, idk though which one is more sour

That entire talk about restaurant work just makes me never want to eat in a restaurant again LOLL I actually used to make the hotel bed the day of checkout but after learning about how workers may want to take shortcuts (and not wash the sheets after every guest), I make sure to bundle the sheets at the foot of the bed so they (hopefully and presumably) have no choice but to wash them. I also throw the towels on the ground (it makes me feel bad but again, I want them to be washed 😭)

My part-time cleaning lady told me she used to work in a hotel and said they save money by not laundering most sheets/towels! She also told me when she stays in a hotel, she disinfects everything in the room including remote controls, telephone, toilet, taps, etc... and never use the glasses in a hotel room - so gross! xoxo :D

I also worked at a restaurant for many years and some things now give an eek. Like i would never order specific foods unless i know the place holds a standard to hygiene. 😬 Loved this episode. All the discussion made the ep even better 😊

That clip of Jin cooking for the members is often used in BTS compilations, I'm pretty sure you've seen it both in The Rise and in the Jin is a mulittalented king compilation, I still want to taste whatever it is he made for them, it looked amazing

The color bowls Jin used while cooking are gifts from Army back in 2013 to celebrate their 300th day debute. So even though they have upgraded living spaces and earned more they still kept and used those dishes. They are so humble.

I also noticed, when you say 'sushi' most asians usually think of nigiri; piece of fish on a rice not maki; fish rolled with rice in a seaweed. And yeah maki and kimbap are different just as you said.

That guy yelling out so loudly right after Joon said he's never heard Seoul be so quiet will always be the greatest unintentional comedic timing. 😂 😂 Also, I don't know if you noticed, but Jin sent three canisters of food along, which means he made sure to send one for the camera person who went with them. 😭

They are Asian, they eat rice with basically everything, trust me when I say they eat a lot more rice than you do. The instant rice Suga was comparing is a pretty common thing. Also who told Daniel they struggle with spoons, he was using the spoon correctly they have a lot of soups in the Korean diet so they definitely know how to use spoons, they also travel a lot so of course they know how to use it. A spoon is much easier to hold than chopsticks

Sushi and kimbap are two different dishes btw! There are different types of sushi, yes, but the korean kimbap is comprised of different ingredients and has distinct shapes

honestly in my country there’s no such thing as hotels not being cleaned throughly so we always use everything with no hesitation but when i went to Malaysia there’s some sign we hang at our doorknob when we go out and they would clean the rooms and replace all the towels sometimes but we still don’t trust how clean everything is since we’re not in our country 😭

Agreed fr! Korean instant rice and western instant rice is totally different and people eat it all the time there because it is good, plus it's not just rice but also rice cakes in multiple dishes

Namjoon didn’t play along with the vision test to much bc he is basically blind. Even with prescription glasses, he can’t see very well. İ read somewhere that he actually needs to use those glasses with the thick lenses. He has the worst eyesight among the members poor guy.

yes i hope so too!!! they aren’t that long either and they miss so many moments and sometime some iconic moments come from the behinds!! maybe they can start something new once they hit episode 50???! 👀 you know like a new era with it being half of 100 maybe start from the first behind the scenes since it also didn’t start from ep 1 they started like ep 12 or 15 and they can be like a little throw back to episodes to reminisce on past ones or just start from the behind from ep 50 that would be cool!! if all this made sense you know lol 😭🫶🏼💜 or maybe even after watching all the run episodes like all of them they could go back and watch the behinds in that case to reminisce and remember the past run episodes!

😂 I forgot this is the episode where Jungkook randomly sniffs the members’ hair. During the sight game, when all the members run up to the board and we see one of the production staff sitting next to it— I wish we could see his expression when the Tannies suddenly start yelling “Santa hat! Tissue! Flower!” in his face. Gabriel’s “eh eh eh!” when he was the first to spot the whale cracked me up. Abby is really good at the game; I was impressed. Suga’s RJ headpiece continuously blocking everyone’s view was so funny. I find it hilarious that a punishment is “your friend making you dinner then hiking a beautiful mountain with your other friend to take in the gorgeous sunrise”. That would be an awesome weekend excursion for me, lol.

Calamansi is a citrus hybrid cultivated predominantly in the Philippines. It's more known as the 'Philippine Lemon' as lemons and limes are not that common here. Calamansi became Korea's food fad when the Philippines started exporting it to Korea and many Koreans love it because of its sour sweet flavor and health benefits as well!

Okkk as a Korean, I gotta call thjs out (in a friendly loving way!<3). Gimbop is a Korean food and is very diff from japanese sushi. They look similar but very diff. And also, it's a very popular food for both children and adults, esp for picnic! If Americans have burgers then Koreans have gimbop. Seasoned veggies, bulgogi(marinated beef), cheese, fake crab meat (lol), anything and then put mayo on top 😍 heavenly!
