Check out Waimea Bay on Oahu Hawaii. The bay doesn't have lots of parking, so sometimes street parking is a must. It's a large beach with calm waters, so you can take dogs or kids here. Locals love it because of a huge rock you can jump off of into the bay. I did it. It was scary. I'm a big fan of coming to this beach to swim since it's so calm and the water is great on a hot day.
