Drive down the PCH - Travel Tip (Patreon)

If you're ever renting a car in California, or if you live in this state, definitely drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. PCH (Highway 1). There are lots of cute towns, scenic views, and local eats along the way. Be prepared though for a long drive. There are no passing lanes and lots of campers drive very slowly around the curves. You can easily spend a whole day driving from SF to LA along the PCH. If you've never been, start from the north and head south, since it's easier to pull over and see the views along the coast that way. Also before leaving, check online sites to ensure the route is open. PCH was closed for over a year due to a landslide taking out a big portion of the road and it had to be repaired. I'm glad to say it's now open and available for visits!
