Are you planning to render videos in higher resolution than 1920p? I think that 2700p (5k) is the standard resolution for VR movies.

Short answer Yes in the near future once it makes sense we can do it comfortably Long answer Rendering animation is very different from someone with a $4000 VR cam. It takes 20 minutes to record 20 minutes in 5k just a much bigger file size with a VR cam. Unlike rendering animation, it is so tech heavy. So to render 5k I have to render 10k(5k for each eye). Blender the software I use, uses lots of calculations to determine where light bounces (what makes it look good) and with the added resolution it dramatically increases the time it takes to render each image. So to render 5k(10k really image for each eye) of 20 minutes would take about 60-70 days straight with say 10-15 high end gpus which is like $20,000-$30,000 in equipment ish. Currently im the only one producing content in this type of software at this rate. Anyone else that is producing content is using a game engine which doesn’t take very long because it doesn’t truly render light and why it will never look as good as what we create. My plan is to transition into bigger projects of like 20 minute productions whiles still providing 2 looped vids per week I’ll talk more on that on the monthly update. But basically I plan to increase the equipment we have in house that will have the added benefit of increased resolution. I don’t want to say up thinks to 5k struggle to hit 2x a week deadlines and give you less content. I want to make sure when we up things everyone is happy and you are only gaining more quality and not losing anything. So don’t worry we will get there it won’t be too far away.
