I never minded getting lost, with this serene music. I did hate pausing to swap the Iron Boots - thank goodness the remakes let you map it to a button.

Me too, I recently have made my GF play through all the main Zelda games, and we were sick of the Iron Boots shenanigans. Luckily it was the Switch version with savestates lol

Love how it sounds really close to the original. I know most people hated the water temple but it had something I loved about it. Yes, it was painful, but in the remakes, at least you knew where to go, instead of blindly wandering around, plus the damn boots.
