What a great way to start the day!. I had put so much time and effort into creating the footage for these remixes, to match the moments they play in the show/make AMVs for them. And Toei just issued a takedown of my 5 most recent ones in one go!

Strangely though, the earlier ones I did last year (Goku SSJ3, Vegeta Super saiyan etc) have not been blocked, even though they also use footage from the show.

I've now got one copyright strike on this channel until Dec, so will be deleting all my DBZ videos that have footage from the show in them, and will need to redo them all using DBZ Gameplay footage instead

The Code Always Wins

Sorry to hear dude... video editing takes a lot of energy to lose like that. One thing I learned to do because this happened to me is: upload the parts of the video but keep it unlisted. Then if it triggers the copyright stuff, re-arrange the scenes a bit or clip and put them out of order. And put some other footage between the show every 10 sec ish.... I had to do that with the Street Fighter 2 V footage I had. It's kind of ironic though bc one reason DBZ became so popular in the US and kept increasing was all the low quality AMVs on the internet in the 90s. Another thing that is grimey is when someone puts out a vid and says: "Feel free to use this its copyright free!", then changes their mind. That happened to me for several videos with "Da wei" remix... should've screen capped it but not worth the energy.

Also that strike system is completely grimy especially when they do it to fans. Maybe you can email YT and explain that you weren't aware on it since you saw other stuff to get that removed (I hear they don't care about creators unless you have a million vids, but worth the 10 min to email I guess)
