I admittedly have only played Calamity Trigger and none of the other BlazBlue games, so maybe if I had I wouldn't be confused in this regard, but I never understood why the game repeatedly emphasized Ragna as NOT being ‘the hero’, preferring Jin for that role instead (one which he mostly failed to fill altogether since he's nothing but a stuck-up, self-centered, hellbent-on-fratricide loose cannon). Ragna I'd say is basically chaotic good, whereas Jin drifts back and forth between lawful neutral and chaotic neutral.
