Ifreanni are not a native species on the continent of Xeryn but were introduced to the ecosystem centuries ago by the Dragonlords who bred these creatures as mounts for their followers. Due to their famously belligerent nature, Ifreanni make for lethal but difficult-to-handle steeds. It was only a question of time before some of these reptiles broke free and began to propagate in the wilderness. Because they have few natural predators and they themselves are ferocious hunters, their population in arid, hot places have become sizeable and these days they present a threat to travelers all over the Riven Realms.

Players will encounter Ifreanni mostly as wild beasts hunting in packs. As enemies, they are not very sturdy but extremely fast and quite dodgy with high Evasion and Initiative. Their combat traits allow them to dodge to beneficial positions and to build up momentum with Frenzy. Their Skills are focused on positioning and dealing damage quickly:

Piercing Bite: A weak single-target melee attack.

Shredding Charge: A single-target attack that can be initiated from the back line. The Ifreanni moves forward, causing a lot of damage (Armor Piercing) with a high Critical Strike chance.

Change Position: The Ifreanni moves to a neighboring position, buffing its own Initiative and Evade for 1 round. Ideal to set up a Shredding Charge.

Call the Pack: The creature can buff a single friendly Ifreanni with additional Accuracy and Critical Strike chance.

So these clever girls will keep shifting positions and buffing each other to set off devastating Shredding Charges if you let them. This also dictates that although not extremely dangerous on their own, Ifreanni are quite the opponents when attacking in a pack.
