As the title indicates the image attatched is not worksafe.  If you don't want to see it don't download it.

This will likely be the last NSFW request I approve for a while until I've decided what to do about NSFW requests and sketch requests in general.  I know I undervalue my work, but I also don't want to put things behind a paywall that can't be reasonably accessed by everyone who would want to.  A dollar a month is hardly greedy by anyone's accounting and easily worth if for the continuation of the comic itself...  In any case I'm still sorting things out.  If you have an opinion or suggestion the messaging system here is fine, or there's the discord server, or any other of the several social media platforms I use.

It is June 2018, and I got curious when the last time Jess's bewbs were featured was. Didn't think I'd have to go back this far.

Nice

Fair enough. You don't want the comic to be known for T&A, nor should you feel that funding is only happening on the back of nudity. I understand and fully respect that.

I'm pretty sure you aren't greedy and creating small sketches that entice people to donate to a worthwhile comic isn't a big deal. I mean honestly the "paywall" is for us who contribute a little more. You aren't creating a totally cannon comic just sketches for us to enjoy so people who just contribute by seeing the adds shouldn't be too bumbled about it. Additionally typically you pay to read a comic book so honestly this isn't a big deal. Think of it this way, comics can and do go for $1.00USD, do you create as much as they do? I would say yes. So don't worry about making us pay a little extra. However I think NSFW makes you uncomfortable (at least reading some of your posts about it), you don't have to do it.

In the end Patreon gives people more choices on how to financially interact, with the work they consume: those are ambivalent or not in a good place financially can just read the comic; those who want a little more can pay pocket change; and those who care deeply can put more in for more out.

Having access to NSFW sketches for (slightly) more than the normal sketches seems proper to me

in all honesty? I suggest offering a 5 $ reward too and it does not have to have nudity. I think only having a 1 Dollar reward is sending the wrong message. I love the work. I want more quality work and I want regular updates. But If you ask me what I want, Id say get Nina and Ed their bloody first kiss already. I think you are being overly cruel to Ed and me with that drawn out thing and now the coffee intox. C mon, his sister gets all the action and Ed gets only more teased?? Have a heart man.

As a fellow long-time reader/startup entrepreneur, the real fans of you would have no problem paying $5 a month to support your content. This is a story that I look for every day it's available. It's a story that I and I'm sure many others have a real connection with, due to the very real, very relate-able characters and the way we empathize and see ourselves in them. Your work has so much value, and it isn't pretentious or "pay-gating" for you to be able to really support yourself based off of work that so much of us consume and enjoy, day in and day out. I'd rather live in a world where I am putting down $10-$20 a month to keep this going rather than not having this story continue to what you see as it's actual conclusion

I'd say save the NSFW items for donors of $5 or more. Also, I agree with Isaac Vargas, too. Your work has value -- we are all invested in your story and your characters. I look forward to seeing your work every Monday morning to start my week. Between Failures is the first thing I read.

Chipping in on patreon because I enjoy your work and want to see it continue - while additional patreon content is nice, it isn't why I am contributing and won't really affect it one way or the other, just want to see what life brings for our plucky employees next :D

I think you shouldn't bring yourself into doing sketch that disturb you. You remain the creator. People can ask for sketch but you shouldn't make smth you're uncomfortable with. We Patreon respect that and you shouldn't feel obliged to draw whatever you're asked to.

Barbarian Badger

You do what you feel is right man. I supported you because you asked and I was always on the fence about supporting but I'm really glad I did. I just wanted to make sure Between Failures kept going everything else is a bonus.
