Hey everyone!

At the advice of a professional, I haven’t been seeking reassurance through compulsively posting progress updates on Patreon. I hope you understand that this is related to my mental health and not a change in my respect for any of you. 💖

That being said, this post is strictly an update on what to expect next, as I personally believe it is some pretty great news!

I’m consolidating all chapters for each story into a separate EPUB file or Google Doc folder. I will be giving patrons access to these files.

This means that there will be one link for each story, directing you to a folder titled as the book you’re looking to read. In this folder, all released chapters will be available to read in a streamlined fashion.

Example:

Link → Files → Tier Name → Book Name → Chapters _ through _

Patreon is not very “writer-friendly” in the way that it’s set up, and I know it’s much easier to read stories when you aren’t digging around for the next chapter.

This should be a lot more convenient than endlessly scrolling on my page, as it’s getting difficult to manage all the posts, even though they’re separated by tag.

I haven’t been too sure about doing this, as this way of storing my writing can easily be abused, but I do trust you all, and I’m very grateful for your support.

Don’t be alarmed! Most editing is strictly for continuity. If I see any continuity errors, such as saying it’s Friday on one page, then accidentally changing it to Monday, or having a character with a little OOC at the beginning of the book — or misplaced lore, I will fix it.

The only exception is CHERRY BOMB, which has already been going through a complete rewrite to flesh out the characters, setting, and lore completely.

For those asking about Black Velvet:

Black Velvet is only on hiatus because of the stress behind giving it a proper and satisfying close. It is currently being edited to prepare it for ending and publishing. I’ve been in the process of working on its ending these past SEVERAL months— which may mean some minor third-act tweaks to make sure that it hasn’t tapered off into something dull and lackluster towards the end chapters. I’m working with a very dedicated and long-term reader (AKA my childhood friend) to make sure that it meets everyone’s expectations.

Thank you all for everything and for all the kindness and patience that you’ve all shown through this past year of deteriorating mental health. Stressing over all that is Patreon-related alone and writing alone can feel very isolating no matter how thankful I am to do it — but then I log onto here or onto my discord and feel really fortunate to be surrounded by so many terrific people.

For that I feel really lucky and amazed.
