Finished editing: The Blue House of 1478! (Patreon)

Hey everyone! I just finished editing The Blue House of 1478. So sorry for all the notifications.
There have been no HUGE changes, so don’t be too annoyed by the edit.
There’s a few more hints toward Theo’s relationship with his family (dead and alive) and Adrian, I removed a part of Levi and Theo’s bickering amidst their moving debacle to make the tonal shift less jarring, and edited grammatical errors and punctuation mostly! It’s all finished (I may revisit the fight scene during the moving to clean it up more but I can’t right now) and now I’m ready to write the next chapter which has huge spooky climax in it.
I feel so much better about the flow of it after rereading! I thought Theo was coming off as an immature little asshole, but he’s actually obviously just putting up a front, so I don’t feel as bad about his characterization now or about any choppiness. A lot of the things that I was concerned about readers not having picked up on makes sense with the amount of time between chapters being posted, they’re glaringly obvious if it’s a reread and much harder to catch if you’re reading one chapter at a time!
Now! It’s time for our next chapter (which hopefully, will be a fun surprise!)
**Post from 3/1: “If you receive a notification for a TBHO1478 chapter throughout this process, I’m sorry! It sometimes does that if I adjust things.
When I’m finishing editing, I will announce and let you all know the significance of the changes.
The coming changes are listed in my photo above. Still, mostly I am looking for a little more warmth in Theo, maybe a smmmidge more insight into his backstory, so he’s more understandable as a character, and making sure there’s no tonal whiplash. I may expose details of his past a little sooner.
(And I need to see how clear my hints have been towards the actual plot)
There’s something that feels very offputting to me about TBHO1478, and it may just be that I find it choppy and without linear character growth (since there are so many characters).
But again! I’ll let you know when I’m done! I plan to spend the next six hours in it and writing a meeting chapter ❤️”**
