This magic sphere carries a powerful encantation within, capable of creating and adapting an entire pocket dimension.

As an action, you can make a ranged weapon attack using this magic item. If it hits, the attack causes no damage, and instead, the sphere releases a powerful beam that tries to pull the creature to the pocket dimension within it.

To resist being pulled, the creature must succeed on a DC15 strength saving throw. If the creature has less than half its maximum number of Hit Points, roll a d4 and subtract the number rolled from the result of the saving throw. The sphere has no effect if the creature's Intelligence is 4 or higher. Once the creature is within this magic sphere, the pocket dimension adapts its environment to best fit its needs. You can't capture more than one creature with the same sphere.

As an action, you can press the button on this magic sphere to release the creature within. For 1 hour, the creature becomes charmed by you while a telepathic link connects its mind to yours. The link breaks if you or one of your companions harms the creature.

The creature is an ally to you and your companions for as long as the telepathic link remains active. In combat, the creature shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It obeys your verbal commands (no action required by you). If you don't issue any, it takes the Dodge action and uses its move to avoid danger. After the effect ends, the creature returns to its natural behavior.

When you use this Magic Sphere to release a creature within it, the sphere breaks and loses its magical properties.
