[Variant] Boots of the Rain Runner (Patreon)

These blue boots are made from a strange material that looks like water but is solid and resistant to the touch. They are constantly changing while tiny water bubbles float and move around.

Once a day, you can speak this boots command word to increase the speed of the bubbles and make the water flow leak from the boots. For 1 minute, for every 5 feet of movement, you create a 5 ft. wet surface on that space.

While wearing those boots, you can walk on water as if it were solid ground. In addition you gain the ability to transport yourself through surfaces of water. When you are standing on a wet surface, like a puddle, snow, or ice, as a bonus action, you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see that is also a wet surface.

Ice skating. Once a day, as a bonus action, you can click the boots' heels together. If you do, a chilly wind surrounds you freezing all the wet surfaces within 60 feet. All those surfaces become difficult terrain while they are covered in slick ice. When a creature enters the icy area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it must make a DC15 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, it falls prone.

While wearing the boots, you are not affected by this effect. Instead, the boots double your walking speed on icy surfaces.
