This magic pistol grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls, and it ignores the loading property. It produces its own ammunition when you make a ranged attack with it, the ammunition deals force damage instead of bludgeoning and vanishes the instant after it hits or misses a target.

This magic weapon is infused with Aether, an alchemical composite made with pure arcane energy. Aether is a primordial form of energy ancient and powerful. It can only be found in places blessed by the God of Magic or in settings exposed to such powerful magic effects it affected the very environment. Alchemists can attempt to prepare an imitation of Aether they call Eather. If you are proficient with Alchemist Tools, you can spend ten days of work and 500GP worth of materials to craft one bottle of Eather.

As a bonus action, you can expend one charge of this weapon to activate the Aether magazine for 1 minute. When you hit a creature with this magic weapon while the Aether is activated, the target takes an extra 1d10 elemental damage. The number on that die determines the damage type, as shown below.

1~2 - Acid Damage

3~4 - Cold Damage

5~6 - Fire Damage

7~8 - Lightning Damage

9~10 - Thunder Damage

If you roll the same number on both d10s, the chaotic shot leaps from the target to a different creature of your choice within 20 feet of it. Roll another damage dice of the same elemental type, and both the target and the new creature take the extra damage.

If you roll a natural 20 in an attack roll with this magic weapon while it is still activated it releases a chaos explosion. 5 extra bolts of energy come out of it, one of each element. Roll an extra damage dice for each of the extra bolts in addition to your regular critical damage dice.

The Aether Magazine has two charges. You can expend an action to recharge this magic pistol with Aether, or a bottle of Eather.
