Cecilia (WIPs) (Patreon)

Here are the wip shots and refs I used for my recent trade with Noxu over on FA of their babe Cecilia. 

As you can see the sketching process and lining took a very long time mostly due to tricky anatomy and perspective (which I don't think I nailed 100% but oh well).Got a big help from my bud Luraiokun with the legs which you can see too. 

Then those fishnets were a whole ordeal in themselves, where I kept trying methods to quicken them but eventually realised I just had to buckle down and draw them properly if they were going to look nice and so I drew them all by hand following a diamond pattern grid.  

Once the lines and flats were done I had a struggle with sorting the background out. I knew I wanted the crescent moon lamp in there and it to be in a warehouse, but sorting the colours was tough. Originally I was going to go with just yellows and greens to give it a really grungy look but thought the blue light had to offset it a little too. Funny though I only decided this about halfway through rendering Cecilia and so this caused some problems in deciding where the light should come from that defines her form, and what colours those should be, which is not easy to change once you've rendered those details. But eventually, I got it to work with some added filters at the end too. 

Overall this pic was in the works for I think at least 4 months with perhaps 30+ hours in total. I'd like to try and speed up my work time on pics too as working like this is exhausting and I am not sure if it's worth the effort either. But I am very happy Cecilia is finally done and I can pay Noxu back for their lovely work. I will certainly have to draw this goth-babe again soon too. ;)
