Here are the WIP shots for Marian. 

This one took a LONG time right from the beginning! The cleaning up and lining of the pencil sketch was a long process as the sketch itself was rather messy. 

I'd got round to getting the flat colours done and getting her prepped to render too when I was suddenly stumped on what background to make. After that, Beastworld's deadlines came up which halted progress on Marian for two months or so and I lost quite a lot of motivation to work on her, not being sure if she was worth finishing, or if she looked good after all the hours that had gone into her, and know full well how many more she'd take yet. 

Once those deadlines were over I decided I needed to knuckle down and get to work and, as usual, finalising the background and rendering her was a lengthy and intensive, slow process. I am just happy she is done honestly as she took far too long. Certainly will make me think twice before I do a piece this big again.

Overall, I reckon she took me close to 30 hours (if not more) to finish which is slightly depressing but oh well, another babe finished. ;)
