Avenged WIP shots (Patreon)

Here are the WIP shots for my recent piece Avenged. This one took me a long time to do, though my productivity for it spiked up and down over the months I'd worked on it, both to lack of motivation and real-life commitments with my job getting in the way.
Initially, I started work on Claws back in November last year, though decided I was generally unhappy with the sketch, so made a new attempt the following month. That's what you see here.
The sketch, lining and addition of the flat colours are what seemed to take me the longest as there was a lot of meticulous thinking in that, rather than a more free-flowing approach like rendering. I really tried my best with the details this time and wanted to focus on really getting my painting going, instead of adding detail underneath the linework, almost all the rendering is added on top, which makes it a lot faster and easier.
Overall, I think the hours this came to was quite a colossal 40+ at least, but, I'm happy with it and glad Claws is finally finished. :)
This is the PNG, so you can get a nice zoomed-in look. ;)
