Off the Set (page 3) WIPs (Patreon)

Finally, some proper dialogue!

Here are the WIP shots for the most recent page of Off the Set.

Got this one done about two months ago so my memory of the process on it is a little foggy. I do remember the sketch phase taking me AGES as there are a lot of characters on this page at once. The expressions too had to be re-worked quite a bit until I was happy.

I started firstly with the middle panel of Rada gathering Jeff's cup. This was certainly a more vibrant page to work on too, with warmer colours now we're inside and out of the freezing cold.

A usual I needed some feedback on the Rubel prices and some more Russian translation, so hopefully, that is correct. I also had to think hard about the actual dialogue in this one and how much information I could convey in this scene. More text also meant more chat bubbles and that meant taking up more space. 

So in all, a lot of back and forth with the layout.

The overall time for this one: 20 hours, if not more.
