Hey guys I am back from taking an art break over October. Under which I have been thinking about my art and what to do with my Patreon account.

Originally I just wanted to disable it for October, but if I had I would have needed to delete it completely and I feel like I have put too much effort into it to do that.

Anyway, I mainly took the time off to do other things and reflect about what I was doing with the work I make. I have decided that I can't nor will I ever be a regular commission artist, I simply can't just draw any image or  draw things just for the money, partly because its just not worth my time, but also it doesn't sustain my creativity in the long run. Basically over this month I hit rock bottom with my art and seriously just felt like giving up and turning my back on the whole furry art community, but there is still something inside me that wants me to draw, so I am glad it hasn't totally died away.

Part of me worried that I was just running away from the work I have to do, and that might have been the case to some degree, but hitting a real low just made me not care anymore. Also having a real job now eats into my time a lot especially on Fridays and the weekend.

I did receive an absolute load of great feedback from followers both on here and from friends who were kind enough to ask how I was feeling or talk about how I could improve with this account or my work process all together, So thank you, they helped a lot and I am very fortunate to have people who support what I do with encouragement and critique.

Luckily I am happy that I have a feeling of wanting to come back and work again with a new found freshness.

So, with that out of the way, I would like to start my Patreon again as I have a few plans for it now.

Firstly, I will be starting up my pledge options again, however offering much less, which will keep things simple to follow and not over work me too. I had some close friends say that I was over promising a lot on what was on offer. So I will install the same tiers but with a clearer list of content.

Secondly I am going to take Patreon fairly steadily, rather than offer up a bunch of projects at once. This means that I will post things when I want to, and see how things go from there. One common form of feedback I got was that Patreon should be used more like a tip jar than a job (Which technically is how I set my Patreon up to be in the first place) but I felt honour bound to use Patreon more like a service than a tip jar as people were giving me money.

Basically I will try my best to give you content, but don't expect it to be rigorously delivered, I am only human.

That said, thanks for reading and the support or feedback. I will have new projects on the way soon. :)

Matt.

Welcome back friend. This is truly fantastic news. I'm sure there are plenty out there who would agree that it would be a real shame and a great loss if you decided to leave the fandom. As others have said don't pressure yourself. You've been very upfront about what your patreon offers so I'm sure all your backers will be very understanding. It's great to have you back man and I'm honored to have the opportunity to support you again. :)
