This one took forever to process 🙃

I think I'm satisfied with how I wrapped up my thoughts in the end. It was a fun ride overall but Mnet is kinda trash still lol. I can't wait for ZB1's debut!

Some more thoughts over a month after by now;

Thinking about it now, Gunwook definitely slyly became my one-pick and I didn't realize it! Like, I was happy when I found out that he got in and all, especially because I didn't expect him to, but when I really sat down to think about my favorite Trainees, he's the one I would have been MOST hurt about not seeing in the group. He was just so pure and sweet in his response as well (everyone was), I love that he met Junhyeon through this show! Gunwook might actually end up being my bias tbh.

I love that SHanbin and Hao made the finale their wedding basically. They seem to have a very pure dynamic and I believe that they're both status-quo changing idols in their own right but together in the same team? Chef's Kiss! Taerae is going to be one of the Greats in terms of vocalist and I CANNOT WAIT to see him performing again because he's so SMILEY-

I know I was hard on Matthew, but I promise I love him and I would have been really upset to see him not make it when I think about it now. I hadn't yet seen the full vision for Ricky, Gyuvin or Yujin, but I definitely do now and I can't wait to see them grow as idols!

And last but not least, Mr. Kim Jiwoong. I know I said Gunwook was my one-pick, but it's actually also Jiwoong too (might have to dual bias, actually). The more that I learn about Jiwoong's history in the industry, the more that I feel that he may have deserved to debut more than anyone else, maybe. You can look it up if you're curious, but his time in the idol world seems to have been downright traumatic and I know that there's more stories like his and more Idols that will never get their fair shot, but him winning was his spot was truly deserved. Not just because he's talented (and he's SUPER talented bruh and whoever craps on that can kick rocks tbh), but also because he has heart and uplifts his dongsaengs so much. I know I said I wanted him to be the leader this entire time, but I'm actually happy that he doesn't have to take on that extra responsibility since he's already probably gonna help Hanbin out since he's the oldest. 

Also ZB1 is such a not-straight group lol. I know we joke and meme about it but I legitimately think that it's true low-key. Boys Planet was such a blatantly not-straight show too, which we love to see (even if Mnet is trash and milked it for views despite knowing that they'd be trash to anyone who explicitly confirmed it), and I hope that we see a lot more from all of the trainees in the industry soon because a shift may well be coming in terms of queer rep amongst idols and a LOT of these BP trainees could probs help it along.

I don't know what the name of Fantasy Boys group is going to be, but when they debut, if I like the group enough then I will likely do Fantasy Boys.
