May I just just say how much I viscerally hate it when shows give a mission and then eliminate contestants halfway through preparing for the mission? Like, I literally see no point other than to simulate unexpected line-up changes, which unfortunately do happen in K-Pop more often than we'd like. But that can also be done by just...having a low-stakes mission where you just switch or exchange one or two members (I don't like that either though, tbh). But this whole elimination more than halfway through preparing thing is crappy because how can we really expect them to not get as demoralized as some of the trainees got? I just don't think the storyline or potential challenge is worth how much it actually hurts everyone involved.
