I think I may come off as a little hard on Jay in these later episodes in retrospect? I explain it but I'll also put it here just in case you miss it while watching (I also go more into in the finale), but I honestly find Jay's vocals to be a TINY bit overstated (not overhyped or overrated, he absolutely deserves all the accolades and shine he gets). I think his tone, style, passion and genuine energy as a performer all work in to make him one of the best vocalists of his generation (and he's in my top ten vocalists from this show, even), but there's moments (particularly when he's belting or doing high notes) where his voice can get a little too close to grating for my ears, and moments where it sounds like there's some tension. SUPER miniscule things that will likely get better over time with experience and feedback, but if they don't get better, he could regress and do some damage to his voice in my opinion. He could also stand to be a bit more versatile, which I think you notice if you rewatch these performances and really listen to him in comparison to Bitsaeon (not compare in a shady way).

I love him though, and I'm one of those people who can sometimes be more critical of art I love because I engage with it that much more than art that I just kinda passively enjoy, if that makes sense? I'm super satisfied with the BDU lineup!

ALSO MILKY-UP ABSOLUTELY HAD MY FAVORITE SONG AND PERFORMANCE. But I understand that it was the least vocally demanding song and this is a show for vocals so I actually find this to be fair in hindsight. I was a little salty about it when I reacted to it in this though lol. I do maintain that we've seen enough material from all four of them throughout the show to be confident that they would have been a super strong vocal group if they had the chance, so I personally wouldn't have found it unfair if they won on performances alone anyway.
