Ohhhh shit. Looking like we're finally getting into the real meat of things! Not that the buildup so far hasn't been great. Now the big question is how the confrontation between Jian and Tingfeng will go. I can't imagine Jian will be able to hide his non-death. Will Jian publicly accuse Tingfeng? Or pretend nothing happened (for now)? I like imagining him ignoring the poisoning and just demanding his money.

He can't accuse him of anything since he doesn't have any proof, if he did, it could cause problems for his family too.

Not proof, but evidence. He has his notes from repairing the scarf, which will show evidence of being repaired. He'll also possibly have the doctor's testimony that he had been poisoned. A public accusation wouldn't go down well, which makes me think he'll try going to someone like the Mayor or sending word back home to his family. Not to cause Tinfeng consequences, but to get protection for himself. Doing nothing seems like it would invite a second attempt, though. It'll be interesting to see how Jian gets through this.
