It's been a long while since I've done a Tolkien video. This is a really small aspect of Middle Earth's worldbuilding that I find fascinating — The Red Book of Westmarch. Ever heard of it? Probably not, but it's basically the very book you hold in your hands. 

I am currently working on another massive project that should be 2 hours long. Maybe.

The other reason the Silmarillion reads the way it does is that it was originally Tolkien's Campfire notes (also because some of it was first scribbled while huddled in a trench)
