Yayyyy another Avatar vid :D That made me very happy. I got a very similar sense as to what you were saying. I understood more or less that it was the essence of Aang's character and soul fighting the essence of Ozai's character and soul, and Aang's far healthier and balanced person, so it made sense to me that he would win. I really like what you said about manipulating chi itself then. Elemental bending is extending your chi to manipulate the environment; energybending is manipulating chi itself. When you do your energybending video, I would be fascinated to hear your theories of what else energybending can do. Or maybe, what it.... can't do? It seems nigh limitless, honestly. Also, I'm so sorry about Mishy. I've lost a pet before so I have an idea where you're coming from. I'm glad you have this community to help you through it and I'm praying for you to have peace!

One of the great things about Avatar is it's ability to tell a complex and complete story within the limitations of a child friendly television show. However, there are a few times when these limitations do show are apparent, (i.e. "did jet just die?" "It was unclear") or on a broader scale, the fact that Avatar ignores some of the most prevalent elements of war such as wartime rape and sexual violence. This isn't to say that these kid friendly adjustments were to the detriment of the show, but, it does make me wonder about energy bending. On one hand, the lion turtles provide a good thematic ending to the conflict, which draws on the philosophy of the show, but on the other hand I think it was a bit of an ex machina that was created because they couldn't end a kids show with Aang having to grow up and learn that violence sometimes is the answer. Anyway, that is my internal conflict about lion turtles.
