Hello my fellow bassists!

Now that you've tackled the major cycle of 4ths, it's only fitting to present you with the minor cycle. It's the exact same exercise, but now every scale is the minor form.

Watch out for the ring finger to pinky finger transition! It's going to feel weird at first but like everything, if you do it enough, it will feel natural and easy.

Let me know if you have any questions, comments or feedback and I'll be happy to respond!

Thanks for coming here and practising with me, have a great week and I'll see you in the next lesson!

Charles

I have a pretty good resulting note when ascending for the most part...but descending is the hardest part, got a ways to go to get the notes descending to speak out properly. Especially the pinky. Since ascending is a hammer on it is fairly straightforward and something we have done for as long as we have been playing, but descending is not like a pull off since I have to tap each note so it is quite foreign feeling to me. I will get there!

True - it's a pretty different motion from a pull-off and requires quite a lot more force. It felt a little unnatural for me at first too but don't worry, with enough practice it will start to feel fine!
