I thought we were gonna get a lesson on taking a song and arranging it for solo bass this month? I can understand if you’re busy on tour, but might we still get some lessons on that. I imagine that will include transcribing by ear and or from sheet music, adapting chords for playability on bass, or using compatible chords that serve the same function, kinda like reharmonizing I guess. I would think that the most complex part of arranging a song for solo bass is altering the chords to something playable or tappable on 4 strings. I’d really like to see your process for going about this. You did a step by step for improvising a bass line using the given chords, but how about what I mentioned above? I’d love to see how you create these, “If this song was the hardest song in the world” arrangements. Obviously few of us will be capable of that quality and complexity, but I’d like to see the process and understand what theory knowledge is necessary so I can start working on that.
