Sketch Commission From Diego (Patreon)

Honestly I got little problems this piece commission in particular due to unclear direction from the commissioner, like... the reference go one way and the commissioner wants the other which these two options are really different from each other 

This proves to be a big problem making me go like “I really don’t want to accept this”, still after I asked for information at first without start and there are information follow after which differ greatly with the first one being informed to me (kind of… a one work two concept) and due to the price asking which kind of a low rate bargain push me to really frustrated bad feelings and that makes me don’t want to accept this work.

“I think… my work is not really that bad, right?”
With a thought I try to come to a new understanding of his point of view on my commission still I really don’t understand why he acts like that.

After a long talk, I get that he doesn’t have a clear direction and view of his character yet and after thorough observation, I get it that he doesn’t have a clear understanding of himself.

So that in the end, I have to help him design his character a bit for mutual understanding which will “greatly” help me progress with my work, which results in the picture presented that Diego himself seems to satisfied with the design too.

Personally I… kinda understand him in a way, having an unfinished character which signaling unclear and confusion deep inside, many ideas up for grab but without finalizing. I have met a lot of people of this type and I really don’t mind it at all, I’m happy even! Helping people to have the character of their design.

เดิมทีสำหรับงานชิ้นนี้แมวหมอกรู้สึกว่ามันวุ่นวายนิดหน่อยเพราะรู้สึกว่าการสั่งงานมีปัญหา ประมาณว่า ตัวแบบกับความต้องการนั้นไม่ตรงกันและมีความแตกต่างกันค่อนข้างมาก 

นั่นมันเป็นปัญหาสำหรับเราสุด ๆ จนรู้สึกไม่อยากจะรับงานนี้เลย, ช่วงแรก ๆ ที่สอบถามลายระเอียดแมวหมอกเลยยังไม่เริ่มทำงาน แล้วก็มีการเพิ่มข้อมูลมาอีก ซึ่งไม่สัมพันธ์กับรายละเอียดเดิมที่ให้มา ( ความต้องการมันขัดกันนั่นแหละ ) มันทำให้รู้สึกแย่ในระดับนึง รวมถึงการถามราคาที่ออกแนวกดราคามาด้วย ยิ่งทำให้ไม่อยากรับไปใหญ่

"ฉันว่างานฉันมันก็ไม่ได้แย่ขนาดนั้นนะ ?"
เราเลยทำความเข้าใจกับเขาใหม่เกี่ยวกับการจ้างวานของแมวหมอก
ซึ่งเราก็ไม่ค่อยเข้าใจหรอกทำไมเขาถึงแสดงท่าทีแบบนั้น

คุยกันไปคุยกันมาก็ได้ความว่าเขายังไม่มีตัวละครที่ชัดเจน ส่วนหนึ่งแมวหมอกก็ต้องมองเข้าไปข้างในตัวเขาด้วยว่าความต้องการเขาเป็นยังไงกันแน่ ซึ่งดูเหมือนว่าเจ้าตัวนั้นก็ยังไม่เข้าใจตัวเองเหมือนกัน

ทางนี้จึงต้องช่วยออกแบบให้นิดนึง เพื่อให้ความเข้าใจตรงกันถึงจะสามารถดำเนินการต่อไปได้ และสุดท้ายก็ได้ผลงานออกมาดังภาพข้างต้น ซึ่งเจ้าตัวก็พึงพอใจกับการออกแบบให้ใหม่นี้ดี เราก็โอเค

ส่วนตัวแล้ว เราก็เข้าใจนะ, ว่าการมีตัวละครที่ยังไม่สมบูรณ์นั้นผู้จ้างมักจะมีความสับสนในตัวเองแถมมาให้ด้วยในเวลาเดียวกัน, ความต้องการในจินตนาการที่มีหลายแบบ แต่ว่ายังไม่สามารถทำให้ปรากฏออกมาได้ด้วยตัวเอง

เราก็เจอมาเยอะแล้วหละ, ก็ไม่ได้ว่าอะไร, สิ่งที่แมวหมอกทำให้ได้ก็เพียงแค่ช่วยให้เขาได้มีตัวละครที่เป็นตัวของเขาเองซักทีเท่านั้นเอง
