Right now working on the combat system, as you can see it will be very close to the SoulsBorn games with a locking system that targets the closest ennemy you see on screen. Of course you can just use your weapon without locking on the ennemy.

You'll have resting places on which you get all your life back and can save your progress (there's already a system to upgrade your weapon to inflict more damage), you will also have the possibility to customise the main character there : change the clothes and hairstyle.

There's a day/night cycle that will be used to change the lighting and also will affect the world.

And of course when you loose ... well you can see by yourself that the ennemies will enjoy this part a lot. But you can then reload to the last save point you activated. And finally the thing that always frustrated me with the videos : here you will have the possibility to move the camera around the animations and choose your favorite angle yourself !

As you can see I did not spent too much time adding world assets as for now I just want to have something working perfectly as a game.

As previously said : the saving system can take in consideration your progress and will automatically transfer your progress from one version of the game to the next ;)

Now the big question : which one of you guys prefer mouse and keyboard, and which ones like controller ? The game will allow both, but just need to know which one I should make as a priority ?

Do not hesitate to comment and give me your thougts about this ! Hope I can release a first demo version soon ! But as you can see it is going very well and fast (only two weeks working on this yet ^^)

a really good job, especially since it's only been two weeks. As for the question, it's definitely a mouse, and I really hope you can choose Ciri, triss or yenefer, you really did a great job of these characters and it would be fun to see them in the game

Someone asked this too on the Discord Channel, here's my answer : Yes, all the original characters will appear in the game. I also plan to do "inspired" characters from other universes (of course I can't use the copyrighted characters, but I can use "spoof" versions). So my idea would be to add a village in which you can visit the "Wolf's Den" from the Triss/Syanna video too. And having the same type of traps and creatures from the videos : having characters being trapped inside paintings, but I want to give the players this choice

Very cool looking. I'm excited to see what the customizability ends up like. As for playing, for third person I prefer controller. Unless you can nail that feel of early to mid 2000s PC action games like MDK, then it's mouse and keyboard. Also, what if when you were defeated by an enemy, you switched to controlling them and managing how fast, hard, and in what positions they use your PC?

I think I'll add the possibility to go to another level/hub (just like in Elden Ring) where you can watch all the animations you've unlocked and manage them :)
