I appreciate the support, don't get me wrong.

The problem is.

The totall ammount gathered in last three months might be too big for transfering to my paypal due to some limitations.

If there is a way to split patreon balance transfer in chunks, please! Let me know!

If you share functionating method to do this, you will get rewarded.

I will have to initiate mass refunds otherwise.

Or you could just exit and come back after PayPal finishes smashing me.

Many thanks!

I suppose we could just up our donations back to our current tiers after your money gets sorted out then? I'm just worried I might miss out on something then. Still I'll do it, since your work is fantastic!

Don't forget to give everyone a shout as soon as your Paypal thing is fixed! Best of luck and I hope things get back to normal soon :)

I‘ve spent some time scooping around the web regarding the Paypal problem. Although I never had such a problem within 13 year of Paypal use, here are my thoughts about it, maybe they help a bit: With a default account, you can receive only 2500 EUR (or equivalent) within a year. So since you first came up with the problem in February and with a monthly fund of 1300+ USD, this limit would be exceeded. This would make sense if you didn‘t raise your Paypal limit last year. Which leads me to the question: Did it work last year? Did you receive more funds than ~2500 USD? If yes, this would be interesting and (maybe) some leverage while speaking to customer service. I‘ve found several cases where suddenly a limitation occurs out of no reason. This seems pretty random by Paypal, even if you never violated their terms and conditions. A lot of people tried to call customer service but they didn‘t solve the problem. So what to do in this case now? My thoughts to a solution would be: - write customer service again and again (mail seems to be the best way to do this), since it‘s clearly a Paypal problem (especially if this wasn‘t a problem last year) - switch to another payout method except Paypal - use another Paypal account (raise the limit - maybe one of a family member) and try this work around while still contacting customer service To summarize this a bit: Paypal seems pretty unreliable as a business partner and sadly there doesn’t seem to be a fast and easy solution. :( Just to mention it: There is also a limit of money you can send with Paypal. But this shouldn’t be the cause of the problem.

I've got automatically blocked while having Paypal limit raised to maximum (9k USD) and system blocked me without even half of this limit reached. I was told when was raising it i didn't provide some documents, and system detected it when was reaccounting my info after big transaction. Today i've got all docs i need, gotta call em tomorrow.

I presume the April content will remain $ 1 to avoid patreons following your instructions and missing out.

I'm trying to remember the specifics but I thought that on your Patreon account page where it lists how much you have + your paypal there's an option for "pay out ____ amount" or some such. I can remember something about the ability to keep money in Patreon and only send some to paypal though it's been a while.

Reached out to Parteon support, here is their reply:"Hi there, Thanks for reaching out! I am happy to help! You can collect funds in your creator balance, however, we don't recommend this as we are not a financial institution. Once the money is transferred, it will only be in one sum; there is no way to separate per month or otherwise. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have additional questions. Warm regards, Gina"

Really, good luck getting your problem sorted out Skygracer. If Paypal doesn't work out in the end, then I hope you'll at least be able to find another alternative way to receive Patreon payment.

I remember one of the artists I pledge to paused their billing due to lack of content that month and I was not charged for that month. Here is a link you may find useful. https://patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/214013323-I-m-going-on-hiatus-How-do-I-ensure-my-patrons-don-t-get-charged-

Out of curiosity I tried to create my own funding project. It seems that the only alternative (for international payment) to Paypal is a service called Payoneer. Instead of the 1% (max 20 USD) fee of Paypal you would pay 3 USD per transaction (I'm not sure if it's monthly per "customer" or otherwise). My guess is that this would be a monthly fee per person, which kinda kills lower tier (e. g. 1 USD) possibilities. In other words, the fee seems kinda high and I've yet no idea how reliable this service is. Regarding Paypal: I guess you are on the right way Skygracer. I know this is kinda f***ed up and it's going on your nerves, but keep calm when talking to customer service. It's kinda weird that you mention a 9k USD cap - I've never seen that somewhere in the Paypal documentation / around the web. I'm gonna look that up too later today (which keep me probably again awake until 1:30 AM :D ) In any case: Best of luck!
